Today I met the man. Let me tell you firsthand that his spirits are high. On the heels of our delegate win in WA, MN, and IA, you can tell there is no letting up. He is still spreading the message and it is VERY clear he has no intent of stopping. I told him since I've been shown the light, he has inspired me to not only be accepted to law school but he has changed the way I view the world and this country. He looked up at me and gave this great smile. Whether or not he wins the nomination is irrelevant at this point because he has already won. The baby boomers may be in charge right now, but if we all continue what we are doing, the America we all envision and hope for is in grasp. So to all my RPFers... stay strong, have faith and continue to fight because what I saw in him today, he is doing the same. Cheers. And may I add that Mrs. Carol is an absolute gem- the heart behind the brains.

Below is my FB/twitter post. Feel free to friend me. I usually write a decent post once a day.

"This man wants to end the wars overseas.
This man wants your dollar to buy more things tomorrow than it could today.
This man wants you to enjoy whatever makes you happy in your own privacy.
This man wants to reduce the cost of college and healthcare.
This man predicted 9/11 and the housing bubble among many things.
This man is honest and principled, and cannot be bought by special interests.
This man is Dr. Ron Paul and he is my president.

Thank you sir for granting me a picture, a couple autographs and a Texan handshake. I will continue to promote liberty, peace and understanding just as you have until the day I die. "

WOW. Those are great pics. I loved getting to meet him in Ithaca. Carol is beautiful and funny and charming. She would make the best first lady ever! Thanks for posting. You look so happy! I was shell-shocked. LOL.

I'm not jealous at all. :)
Nope..:) :)

Not a bit.:)

:)

:)

Why do people always smile a lot when they lie?

What great pictures!! And very inspiring.
Thanks for posting this.

Great pics, Colby, but please don't do the generational blame thing. It just divides us, the same way that TPTB try to do by pitting races against each other, political parties, etc.

There is plenty of blame for everyone and that includes your own generation.

Well I've got admit the hardest people to convert is undoubtedly the older people. I completely understand what you are saying, and I appreciate it, but it's the god's honest truth. The people in charge right now are the baby boomers and it's hard to convince them on Ron Paul when they themselves are dependent on many programs that he would ultimately like to reform or potentially eradicate. It's just the way it is. Trust me, I'm doing my part. But let's be honest here. As far as my generation goes (and I'm 25), I believe we are the most liberty-minded generation in a loooooong time. Sure many of my peers voted for Obama in 2008, but look what we had to choose from- A war-mongerer with a ditz as a VP or somebody who talked big civil liberties/peace/drugs, etc...

I don't think what I said was wrong at all- The baby boomers are in charge right now and the younger generations need to keep it up to see that they get what they want. My generation hasn't reached critical mass yet. But Ron was great today. The convention is going to be awesome...

Hey, I'm a "baby boomer" and so are 95% of all Ron Paul supporters that I personally know. Just being a certain age doesn't mean a person is not qualified to be a part of the revolution!

I hear you! I'm sorry! I really didn't mean to make this post a generation thing!!!! Let's get back on track..... Ron is in high spirits and he looked very energized. I think we have all seen an upswing in momentum in the last week. I think May is going to be very kind to our man. Let's just keep getting delegates, donating and phoning from home. His crowd is Austin today was pretty damn impressive. I really hope Ron can win Texas. That would be HHHUUUUUUGGGGEEEEEE!!!!!!

He looked up to you? You appear to be the same height as Ron Paul.

Law School huh? I could think of better things to do with my life, like being a doctor, engineer, trash man, anything really other than making a living with the damn laws of this lost nation, written by those that want to enslave us all.

I do not feed trolls.

That Shakespeare quote 'first, kill all the lawyers' was what a man was saying was the way to take over and control the populace, because lawyers would help the people fight back.

The law is a tool, use it well.

*jealous* He will be here next week and is doing a lunch fundraiser but I just can't justify the $350 to go. :( I saw him at the Berkeley rally though (front row!!) and I will be at the Davis rally. Would really like to tell him "thank you" though. I will keep working in my Congressional District as it's the least I can do after all he has done/ is doing for us. Oh, and I adore Carol. She would be the best first lady!!

OP, thanks for sharing! I love hearing about stuff like this.

Maybe Ron was seated?
And I think, as RP has said, that there is a "remnant" out there, the old Goldwater crowd, that have become jaded and very reticent about politics. they CAN catch the fire again. Phone banking this summer, I talked with a man Ron's age who went on about the economy, wars, etc. Then he said Irwin Schiff was his hero! Well, that opened a door and he went to a couple of events. He had been very active in the old GOP and just had to hit that point where he thought it was worth it again.

Def. My grandfather was a Goldwater guy and he was telling me how Ron has perked him up lately. He doesn't like some of Paul's ideals but he does agree with many including the Gold Standard which is I find interesting b/c his grandfather helped create the New Orleans Fed Reserve Bank.

Ummm, what's the baseball card and how do I get one? :)

In the 2008 cycle Topps created a presidential series. I'm still into collecting cards. Just a hobby I never quit enjoying. Once I found out he had a card, I HAD to get it. It's a Ron Paul Rookie Card!

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...paul"+topps&rh=i:aps,k:"ron+paul"+topps&ajr=0

I also found this on a random website. Somebody took his old congressional baseball picture and photoshopped on to a vintage '76 Topps. I would love to print one because I'm from Houston and seeing him an the old tequila sunrise Astros jersey always makes my day.

Really? We need lawyers to. As long as he doesn't sell his soul to be a lawyer I'm fine with it. Didn't Thomas Massie start as an lawyer? Quite pissing on the guy. We need more like him.

Thank you sir. I know lawyers get a bad wrap but they will fight for you when the government intimidates and bullies you into taking years of your life away for stupid shit like pot and taxes. For every prosecuting A-hole I'd like to think there is a good lawyer on the other side to help you out.
