The Campaign for TOTAL Victory in Tampa Starts Now -- Ron Paul Grass Roots Unite!

No special knowledge/skills to offer, but count me in as willing to put in some time, effort and heart. (My time will get more plentiful as we get closer to Fall.)

Adding...

Official "Ron Paul 2012 Revolution Coalition" to be formed and officially untited around the OP cause. Goal=rally the pacs behind us. priority? get the ads the campaign refused to issue out there. forign policy, anti-Obama/Romney, counter offense against the media slander, "in it to win it" ect. Even if we cant manage to get them televised.. we can still spread them online like wildfire and let their seeds take root.

Is it May 2011? or May 2012?

These are good solid ideas for May 2011.

I was going to say the same thing.

The delegates are the goal and we have done that very well as it is. We just need to continue with it as we have.

Why fix what isn't broken?

visionary: I have a great idea!
realist: you cant do it. thats stupid. why bother.
visionary: YES WE CAN OR GIVE ALL TRYING!!!

can you imagine what would have happened if our founding fathers were more realists than visionaries?

I was thinking more in terms of reinforcing and strengthening it would be a better description. Whats wrong with that?

Nothing, sounds great.

But I hear people wanting to run TV ads and create alternative donation pools. The campaign has already said their emphasis is now on delegates and not the popular vote. TV ads favor the popular vote agenda. The campaign isn't in this any longer to waste resources on that. And the May 17th Money Bomb is going to be contributed to the delegate process. So why detour funds away from the campaign, if the objective of those in this thread, are the same as the goals of the campaign?

So if RPFs are a super PAC, donations are unlimited? Nice.
Also, what effect do you think all this will have on the 29 May meeting (Black Swan)? Might want to give this as an option to anyone wanting to go unlimited in donations.

I believe they are more a similar yet enhanced parallel to the "official" campaign rather than completely different. although I do agree with you on implementation of monetary resources. Which I highly doubt anything will be deferred before the moneybomb.

Can you please be more generous with details -- it's just a very vague suggestion, to me at least.

For example, the campaign has stated they aren't contesting the Michigan state convention. They will be offering no support to them. We can't afford to send all our money to the campaign and have them skip important states like this. If a grassroots fund was setup, we could offer our support to any state that needs it. I don't believe the campaign is with us on Rule 38, since they don't want trouble in Tampa. So they most likely won't aid any state that will select delegates only for Mitt Romney. They already condemned what we were doing in Idaho and Jesse Benton is using the numbers from AP, ignoring Rule 38. We need to create a fund in order to help out all the remaining states that have yet to select their delegates. It's the only way we can take enough delegates away from Mitt Romney to ensure we force a brokered convention.

Cant we still take over the conventions without a central pool of financial support. Each delegate funds his own efforts as it is.

This is a great idea. I wholeheartedly support bringing new pro-active tactics to the Liberty Campaign. No more circle the wagons, defensive posturing that is reactionary in nature. We need a Ron Paul non-violent Special Operations unit willing to fight for Liberty... :)

Anyways, I myself would like to help by writing comments on online local media stories that report about civil liberties, politics, Ron Paul, ect. The problem for me is to know what specific media website I should be targeting that will help educate other viewers about Ron Paul and Liberty. It would be nice if there was some guiding authority to help me maximize my time and effort through providing website links, talking points, local background information, ect., to these online sites, like a central page here on RPF dedicated to supporting aspiring writers of Liberty. Imagine hundreds, if not thousands, of Ron Paul warrior writers being able to quickly knock back reported assaults against Liberty! This would work! If we can influence the non-activist voters who read the comment sections because they are trying to figure out how other readers perceive the issues of the day, we can 'Win the Mind, Win the Day'!

I truly believe that the pen is mightier than the sword...

Peace.

Had a side thought...

Ron Paul Backers Hijack Conventions and Subvert the Will of the People in Blocking Romneys Nomination

vs.

American Patriots Use Political Prowess to Block Establishment Party Agenda and Nominate Ron Paul

This is why we MUST continue the fight however tireless and combersome it may be to unlock minds and plant the seeds in juxtaposition to bringing our a game to the conventions.

hmm... reading the former psedoheadline from above, a new meme to help galvanize our revolution just came to mind. Patriots for Paul!

wow! really goin on 3am? sheesh.

This particular project seems like wankery epic faillery.

What I've suggested, fairly often, is that we gather together on a specific project, on a specific thread or a sub forum. Project: make sure that every upcoming convention state has a "state director" who is working on organzing the convention.
That could a subforum. And a thread for each state. And in the first post of each thread, put as much info - like the state directors name and email and facebook etc in it. is there a facebook State for Ron Paul 2012. There probably is. And work with the state director. Find out what they want you to do. Suggest to them they talk to Eric Brakey (Maine) or someone else who was successful at a convention.

Individual chip ins for individual states, or individual projects within states. This is all much more complicated than it needs to be.

Set up a subforum "state conventions". Put state threads in there. And get working on it, case by case. state by state.

For example, the campaign has stated they aren't contesting the Michigan state convention. They will be offering no support to them. We can't afford to send all our money to the campaign and have them skip important states like this. If a grassroots fund was setup, we could offer our support to any state that needs it. While the "official" campaign seems to be waivering (see Benton email)... We are not.

This idea would provide a more formal & central foundation of steadfast, clear goal, backbone support element to what has already been taking place while additionally picking up anywhere the "official" campaign is slacking via doing the things the campaign has yet to do or may not be willing/able to do.

bottom line... 2012 GOP Nomination=1776 American Revolutionary War.
"Official" Campaign=Play Politics, save face, & look out for their own interest. The American Army Generals
The Typical Supporter=Fight where you can at the direction of the "Official" campaign. The American Army Infantry
Grassroots Campaign (as proposed here)=Continue to Win this d@mn thing lock stock and barrel at all costs! The Malitia
