The Boos have helped us!

I've been seeing the same sentiments around the internet.

Still, I was befuddled by how it happened. They booed the golden rule, and then cheered about ending the wars 3 seconds later...those two things seem counterproductive to each other, so I really don't know what was going on...

It wasn't the same people. Paul had a contingent, whose cheers rang out when he talked about ending the wars, but they were overpowered by the boos when he first brought up the golden rule.

I would like to point out that folks who mix Old Testament in with their Christian doctrine and teaching become Judeo-Christian. Note the prefix which supercedes Christianity in this case making a sham and falsehood of the true tenets of Christianity, the Prince of Peace and imposes Old Testament style avengelism and Mosaic rule of vengeful religious laws in them as a memetic virus. True Christians are inured and inoculated against this archonic nonsense and corruption. I guarantee you that true Christians are not impressed with this and know the smoke of the devil when they smell it. It is no wonder they howl at RP and prop up the thieves and murderers just as they did when they called for Christ's blood via crucifixion.

It's simple -- part of the audience bood, and a different part cheered.

Talked to my 65 year old mother about an hour ago. She has been following Ron Paul closely since I brought her on board. First thing she asked me was, "Did you see the Republican debates last night? They booed Ron Paul when he was talking about the Golden Rule." My mother sleeps with her bible, she didn't like that one bit. She loves Ron now and she is always telling me about the stuff she hears on TV. She thinks he is a good man, and they are scared of him.

Edit: I think it helped more than it hurt us last night.

Neo-con friends are upset by the crowd. Man, this almost made me go down to my town office and unregister as a Republican. I am still fueming.

This is the response I got from a friend of mine when I stated my disgust for the booing of the golden rule. This is coming from a Newt supporter, but she also likes Santorum. I couldn't believe she said it....Here is the response I got - "I don't think RP was booed on the issue of the Golden Rule, he was booed because his policies are so divergient with most of the audience. I don't think anyone on that stage wants war with Iran-- but they do understand, unlike RP-- that Iran will only back off when they are facing power. Many of us believe that RP supports a position that will keep us as weak as Obama. Do you seriously wonder what will happen if we take a weakened position with the Middle East? It is only from a position of strength, that we will have peace"

I guess I just have to accept the fact that I'm not going to win her over to the RP camp. Frustrating.

Based on my experience with Christians, in my family and elsewhere, most are not warmongers. The neocons are just a very vocal minority and hijack religion for political gain just like terrorists do. These people can make a religion say whatever they want it to say even if most people of that religion disagree.

we should spin this off as the "booing" people are actually "Romney supporters" - they've been mudslinging quiet a bit at RP supporters, maybe we should fire back?

Read this quote to your friend.

Hermann Goering at the Nuremberg trials said:
"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Stop acting so ignorant. We always have good marks on the internet, that doesn't correspond into actual support. I've seen tons of people say "The Osama thing killed it for Dr. Paul in a bad way."

Damn right they helped us. The booers exposed themselves for the frauds they are, just like Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, etc.

That SC crowd reminded me of how Hitler came to power. They reminded me of fascists.

When Hitler was coming to power, Germany was in economic turmoil and Hitler used Jews as scapegoats and he massively grew the military and used pre-emptive war against supposed enemies of the state to rally the sheeple.

No different than the SC warmonger, neocon crowd where instead of Jews it is Muslims, and we must have the pre-emptive wars.

These blood thirsty neocons have no idea what individual liberty is all about. They are lemmings who get caught up in nationalist war propaganda that leads to totalitarian regimes, which is where this country is headed, but these sheep don't realize..

Problem is, unless you are "favored", the majority of people in such regimes are left with no rights.

Sadly owias12 your friend is quite wrong

And wow where did she get that line from? FOX News?

Many of us believe that RP supports a position that will keep us as weak as Obama.
That is so wrong in so many so ways.

if we take a weakened position with the Middle East? It is only from a position of strength, that we will have peace"
Huh so i take she's a war monger then? and there is nothing wrong with pulling the troops out of Europe.

You could tell her that the European people agree with Ron Paul.

How does it help us? The people booing are the ones voting in large blocs.

By influencing other people who watched that ugly moment, and who hopefully will wake up and realize how far we have departed from a just and moral foreign policy.

The boos made unmistakably clear to the world the utter bankruptcy of the global empire / neocon policy that BOTH parties follow.

This was a HUGE event. World-changing. It lit the fuse, which is burning rapidly as we speak... and when that fuse hits the payload all hell is going to break loose.

I was raging mad when they cheered Newts race baiting.Newt is racist ! "spanish is the language of the ghetto"-newt gingrich "blacks should demand paychecks, not food stamps"-newt gingrich
