The Boos have helped us!

This is the response I got from a friend of mine....I guess I just have to accept the fact that I'm not going to win her over to the RP camp. Frustrating.

Show your friend that "blowback" video of how this entire Iran fiasco is of our own doing. If we would learn to mind our own damn business, we wouldn't be were we are today. BTW, this Iran going nuclear has been in the news everyday for more than what?..the last 10 years at least. The key to the Iran problem for us is energy independence. Leave them alone long enough and they will implode from within.

Has anyone considered the crowd booing the moderator? Hear me out... notice theres a second round of booing when you hear "it's time" in a hurunmphy voice like they were booing the moderator

nah, they were clearly responding to Paul

It's disgusting how the other candidates tossed red meat to the crowd by bringing up 9-11 and the evil Osama. They tried to make RP look like he was in favor of 3,000 Americans being killed. And the red-meat crowd ate it up. Makes me embarrassed to have spent so much time in the South.

Mark Levin says that the golden rule doesn't apply to people who kill their own daughters.

Just saying, this is what 10 million registered Republicans just heard.

Because Muslims kill their kids. Because the constitution doesn't apply to war. Natural Rights don't apply to all human beings. etc... etc... etc...

That may well be, but the US cannot change people by force. Period. Any of those neocons in the audience should be able to figure that out. Oh, wait.....they are neocons....

Of course, they do not really give a hoot about those dead daughters, they just like to bully, use force, and kill and maim those daughters.

Guys, the debate last night was FANTASTIC for us. An LDS friend of mine just said he would never support Romney because of his stance on the NDAA and went on to say "to be perfectly honest with you, I'm starting to become more and more of a Paul fan. Never thought I would ever say that." I'm working to push him over the hill from "soft" support into a strong supporter of liberty.

That's excellent.

Ron really needs to knock the next debate (Thursday, I think) out of the water.

Only dogs can hear leVin's voice. [it causes tinnitus, in humans]

You must've been reading a transcript. ;)

Hahahaha.

No, I cringe and bear it while listening to Levin.
Bad for my health, though. I may have to stop listening to the lies and propaganda. But, it's crucial to know what people like him are saying.

Has herr leVin never read Leviticus? It's in the Pentateuch, which is the Torah, I believe. Guess that means we need to bomb Israel. ;)

And America, too...according leVin's "logic." :(

By the way, Levin is on Hannity tonight (I'm pretty sure).

Anyone want to wager how far they will go to trash the good doctor?

I dont think they hurt us. I'm doing PFH at the moment and I just talked to someone who watched the debate last night and he's still undecided.

At first I thought it was terrible that Ron Paul was booed when talking about the golden rule, but after the debate, including post-day media and online sentiment, most people are disgusted by the audience booing the golden rule. Even CNN was calling Paul the only rational candidate while the others fed off the crowd. Online, at least, people have been overwhelmingly sympathetic to Paul and angry towards the crowd. BTW, I've never considered SC to be fertile ground for Ron Paul and such an outburst, from a crowd that booed Juan Williams for questioning racial undertones, will play into Ron's popularity with the left and independents.

I really hope you're right. But right now we need popularity with the right. I really, really hope it helped with that but I just don't see how.

For a quick nudging, have him read chapter 8 (Welfare and the Welfare State) of Murray Rothbard's "For a New Liberty", available free as ebook or Mp3 Excerpt:
A highly successful private welfare program in the
present-day is the one conducted by the three-million-member
Mormon Church. This remarkable people, hounded by
poverty and persecution, emigrated to Utah and nearby states
in the nineteenth century, and by thrift and hard work raised
themselves to a general level of prosperity and affluence. Very
few Mormons are on welfare; Mormons are taught to be independent,
self-reliant, and to shun the public dole. Mormons
are devout believers and have therefore successfully internalized
these admirable values. Furthermore, the Mormon
Church operates an extensive private welfare plan for its
members—based, again, on the principle of helping their
members toward independence as rapidly as possible.

Also, there is a new book called "Latter Day Liberty" that sounds to me like a good Mormon recruiting tool. Ron Paul's praise:
"Connor Boyack has written a fascinating book that applies Mormon theology to the central question of statism vs. liberty that dominates our age. Latter-day Liberty provides an insightful analysis of both historical and modern political issues, and challenges the reader to reconcile religious beliefs with state actions. Not surprisingly, he finds that our federal government routinely violates the religious principles that many Mormons hold dear.
