The 2012 GOP Presidential Primary Will Be Ugly

Right. I felt pretty stupid believing their crap... then I woke up.

i made my own CONTRACT FOR AMERICA back in 2008;) now its RON PAUL 2012, a CONTRACT FOR LIFE,LIBERTY and FREEDOM!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

and Liberty Candidates in 2010 and forever!!

:D:D I like your enthusiasm!

what other option do we have left? in my county we have a strong chance to have a majority county seat with a Ron Paul oriented democrat(already in office) and a Ron Paul republican possibly winning a seat from a biggovdem(for the first time ever). as far as i am concerned. we are one election away from reclaiming the failed gop and having sensible local government. we also have 3 town council members we need to remove asap once they are up for re-election(where we will use our majority voter block to do so;) having been a local activist for 14 yrs and i was also an activist in Virginia at onetime!

we also just started a local online news media service, we are already getting 1000-2500 unique visitors a day:) and we haven't even started it yet:) we hope to have the basics done by wed of next week. then we fully market it online thru social and existing online leadville networks and locally thru all the businesses!

become the messenger: become the media. if i can break even on costs the first or 2nd month. then i plan to market this in hopes others here might want to make their own local news source!!

i am a dreamer! i am not sure if your aware of what the leadville council pulled here ,but lets just say they lit a firestorm like they never have .when they pulled the shenanigans they did along with our local paper;) they all will understand what a MAJORITY VOTER BLOCK CAN DO!!!
this will bring you upto speed;)

the irony to all this is the anti-marijuana folks are the ones that wanted it to go to the voter??? blowback is gonna be a _________ soon in leadville colorado on many issues;)

back to thread topic

RON PAUL 2012, the gop better shape up or they will be shipped out asap;)

How come no Liberty Candidates have called for impeachment? The only way you are going to solve any of the problems is to get the man safely out of office by impeachment or by resignation from increasing threat of impeachment. Before he gets himself killed and, thus, the country as well.

The democrats you say? There are only 3 candidates running for the 2010 congressional seats calling for impeachment. They are all democrats, and one has won her primary and freaked out the Tx State Dem Party like you wouldn't believe.

So quit bashing the dems my friend. There are some of us who never wanted this man in office, didn't vote for him, and want him out. Instead perhaps get the liberty candidates currently running to grow a pair of cahones and publicly say impeach obama, otherwise absolutely no one in the list of the liberty candidates understands the systemic risk he runs to the republic and the world if he continues to head the executive.

Real Democrats. ^

check out my location :)

on a serious note, I was heartened when right after the election, ron paul, ralph nader, chuck baldwin and cynthia mckinney had that conference
I think that to get any kind of political progress done toward dismantiling this monster goverment, there is gonna have to be cooperation with groups that have different agendas

The GOP seems like a splintered mess right now and will be in the near future, at least from a partisan standpoint. Only thoroughly vetted small gov't types are getting my vote; the big gov't imperialist RINOs won't.

This likely leaves the spoils to the Democrats, who little by little are seeing their programs enacted, government growing wonderfully well.

The independents are the big question mark in my mind. Where will they go come election day?

exactly how i thought, remember liberty has no party;) but if the parties do not change soon. Then Liberty might have a party called the LIBERTY PARTY!! ;)

if the ron paul platform could unite those folks. then i say we can unite voters under a Liberty Banner/Brandname/Party called the LIBERTY PARTY, that is if the gop does not shape up.

Draw the line in the sand:)

Hmm, I don't see it the same way. If the Republicans nominate someone like Palin, or someone like her, Obama will win in a landslide. They'd have much better luck with someone like Ron Paul.

Has anyone thought about Cong. Paul Ryan from Wisconsin ?

Not only did he vote for the bailouts, he also voted YES in making the Patriot Act permanent, and voted for DOMA. I can't vote for someone who believes the federal government should get into the business of marriage, or that warrantless wiretapping is necessary at all times (no less even in times of terrorist attacks).

When it comes to other parts of economic issues, he's great. He was actually the only Republican that created a comprehensive economic solution - a pretty good one ta boot, and this was while everyone else was frothing at the mouth against the Democrats. But I'm afraid because of the things he did that I listed above, I can't support him or vote for him.

Of course Ron knows it going to be ugly.. that's why he hesitates, but I think he knows it HAS to be done.

ok, lets say Ron Paul vs Obama. Who wins?

Neocons and liberals vote Obama as lesser of 2 evils, and that leaves us.. I'm sorry, Obama has a damn good shot at 4 more years.

I think most neocons would support Ron Paul over Obama, except the David Frum/Lindsay Graham types.

And many anti-war liberals may support Ron Paul over Obama.

I think the GOP primary is going to come down to Romney/Huckabee depending on who runs. If Ron runs they will run 9 candidates again to drown him out but many unknowns will not run because Romney is too strong in money and organisation in the key early states

Ron Paul needs to make a decision. He has the organization and if he decides to run it can help him but if he doesn't he should throw EVERYTHING behind Gary Johnson who is the closest thing and needs help being promoted. By everything I mean mailing list, CFL and outright campaigning for him from day one.

Ron Paul I dont think can win but his support can be crucial in "making" a candidate who is younger and doesn't have the stigma, see Rand Paul for example.

We should send David Adams to Iowa and New Hampshire and let him work with Johnson to try the same thing

No.. I think neocons will be so bitter, they'll go with a proven war monger, Obama.

Do anti-war liberals even exist anymore?

Paul-Johnson 2012? :D

I don't know if Ron Paul can win; but that doesn't mean I won't throw in my support 1,000%.

Even if we can't win the presidency, we will still WIN the hearts and minds of future patriots. Hell, look how many people are educating themselves because of THIS very movement? How much more good can we do with another 2 years of Engergized Liberty Patriots hitting the streets sharing the message?

It's a Win-Win situation. We can win hearts and minds; with a chance at winning the Presidency. How could Ron not run?
