is so silly, but I am ready to admit that since I've heard it SO MANY TIMES, there must be something to it.....

his "whiny" voice.

How silly can you get, if you choose a candidate by their voice. But I swear, I've heard it from my husband, my best friend, in online commentaries, and from perfect strangers.

I wanted to report this for future reference.

yeah cause the country is in such great shape right now no one should be worried about it or "whining" about it.

This is yet another example of the 'military industrial simplex', utilizing real-time voice manipulation, via their media outlets, to change reality!

Media Outlet - Sounds like a 'K-Mart' or dollar store!

Yes, its much better to think deep thoughts about what symbolism the election of a black man or a women would convey. We need a black female Rhonda Paul!

It isn't his voice so much as it is the inflection of his voice. The inflection of his voice makes him appear less confident. I tolerate it, but I really wish he would work with someone to change this. To me, he sounds a lot like Dana Carvey's Jimmy Stewart impression.

I think it is exasperation at talking to idiots all of the time. I emailed the campaign and warned them that he was coming off as whiny. I've heard that for a long time. Ron Paul is 100% right but when he becomes exasperated at the stupidity of the people he is talking with he does sound whiny to many people.

I love Ron Paul, but I had to tell you the feedback I'm getting from people..and it's always the same thing. I know, I wish I could say my friends and family were a little less shallow, but that's what they're all saying. Then even go on to say, "but he does have good ideas...."

I think they're only watching the debates, where Ron is pretty much cornered by people who don't like him. I usually ask these people to watch a one-on-one interview, where he's not so pressured for time and attention.

I've been looking for that in recent speeches and debates he isn't doing that very much lately. He probably got some coaching.

The only issue I have really is when he uses expressions like 'guns or butter' that 90% of the population isn't familiar with. It almost sounds like he's trying to coin a term.

There's an expression I like, "bread and circuses," that is used to describe the American lifestyle of McDonalds and reality TV. While it couldn't be any more accurate, most people just don't understand the historical implication or the meaning of the expression. I think RP appeals to the high-minded, but he needs to winnow his message down a bit for the LCD.

Interesting comment, but the simple answer to that is, I based my vote on the content of the platform, not the sound of someone's voice, or what they look like.

That is just basic common sense.

"guns and butter" is a phrase well known and understood by most seniors.

The problem is Americans will do more research for their next TV than they will for their next President.

Maybe he can overcome his 'whiny' voice if he gets an belly button piercing?

I like him being whiney. I'm sick of people voting for the "good-looking," "well-spoken," and "wealthy" politician. It's time we voted in our neighbors, and friends. Passionate leaders, who can visualize things greater than how many empty promises they can make to garner the votes of a certain class of citizen.

Dear WGADGET,

Sooo, is this about Ron Paul?...or is it about us?

Try listening to the other candidates. They stand there, and say their 'going to do this, and their going to do that.' Makes me want to puke with the thought people are eating this crap up.

Rons voice is soothing to my ears.

If you can't see that, then you need to go back and re-join the flock....baaaa!

The TRUE Patriots will take it from here. I hope we can save you.

btw...you make it sound like you're just 'reporting' what you heard. I don't believe you.
