The States created the Supreme Court.

The States created the Constitution.

The States signed a contract on how each State will and will not operate. When one or more States violate that contract, the independent judicial body created by the States needs to remedy the situation.

That seems right.

But then I keep hearing that the Constitution is the highest law of the land.

And then when I ask people to substantiate that claim, they keep telling that it's because it says so right there in the Constitution.

I'm not a fan of politicians, he's still better than neocon HRC as a "businessman" but that doesn't mean he's exempt from crticism. Very few people in politics today are worthy of unqualifoed support imo.

Thanks, Dandy Don, for that nice intro. The fat lady’s on next for the big finale on Monday when the Electoral College meets. Oh, there’ll be a few legal skirmishes left, but the only effect they’ll have will be to fatten a few attorneys’ wallets and demonstrate the vacuity of their arguments. A few others will file frivolous pleadings just to stroke their egos and get publicity.

There’ll also be a lot of bloviating GOP congressmen on January 6 objecting to electoral votes for Biden, but they’ll be reminded that the sole grounds for objecting is whether an elector’s vote was “regularly given” (see 3 USC §15), not whether the elector was properly chosen. .

But when all is said and done, Trump and his supporters will be S.O.O.L. (you figure it out), and he’ll slink back to play golf, pardon his family and cronies, and stew in his own narcissism.

HOUSTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit backed by President Donald Trump to overturn Joe Biden’s election victory, ending a desperate attempt to get legal issues rejected by state and federal judges before the nation’s highest court.

The court’s order was its second this week rebuffing Republican requests that it get involved in the 2020 election outcome. The justices turned away an appeal from Pennsylvania Republicans on Tuesday.

The Electoral College meets Monday to formally elect Biden as the next president.

Clearly.

This dismissal was entirely predictable. I don't know why so many Trump fans here were holding out hope for it, when Trump's other lawsuits were all thrown out. The truth is that Trump had a terrible legal team and no judge in his right mind would have believed the crappy "witnesses".

There are much better ways to oppose Biden, including making sure the Democrats don't get a majority in the Senate. This can still happen, and that should have been the focus this entire month.

Yeah....Justice Alito did an okie-doke making folks think that he was moving around the deadline on the Pennsylvania case to actually give a thoughtful ruling on it...then he tossed it in one sentence.

Probably because I justices and judges are Statists and when you have the opportunity for Communism you are going to take it because you as a judge HATES capitalism.

Now that SCOTUS has denied the Texas Lawsuit is up to the US , and/or the each of the State's , House of Representatives to do their thing pusruant to the 12A or Article 2 Section 1

Or in the alternative,

SIdney Powell's Lawsuits which deal with FRAUD therefore they are not subject to the limitations imposed by 3 U.S. Code § 5.

Those are our only options , otherwise we are screwed.
