Texas Sues Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin at Supreme Court over Election Rules

Not so sure if they are serious about making a credible case let alone winning it:

19 States at last count dispute this Illegitimate Election.

Nope, it's just a bunch of GOP AG's trying to curry favor with the Narcissist-in-Chief and pander to the Trump voters in their state. It's an obvious case of political posturing, since none of the states is seeking to intervene as a plaintiff.

Even Senator Cornyn (from Texas, ironically), who's been one of Trump's top enablers, is dubious.

I read just the summary of it, and I frankly struggle to understand the legal theory of it... It's an interesting theory, but I'm not convinced...

Number one, why would a state, even such a great state as Texas, have a say-so on how other states administer their elections?...We have a diffused and dispersed system, and even though we might not like it, they may think it's unfair, those (election policies) are decided at the state and local level and not at the national level.

Responses are due today, and the Court will likely give Paxton a day or so to reply to the responses. The Court's regular conference is on Friday, and I suspect it'll announce its decision not to hear the case on Monday, although there may be a dissent or two.

Call your AG and ask that he/she file a lawsuit against TX.

Rather than focusing on lawsuits which have been thrown out of court at every level, I am hoping Republicans wisen up and instead focus on the Georgia runoff elections. It is important that the Democrats do not receive a majority across the board.

Do get relief in court you have to allege you have been damaged. Nobody disputes that Biden was helped by absentee ballots so there is no damages claim for the change.

Are you saying that the State of Texas itself was damaged by the loss of a particular political candidate?

What we are trying to tell you is that if you were planning to hire on with the press-ident-elect ........fuggedaboutit!

I think what's mystifying about some of your posts is that you seem to be shocked when a politician is a politician. I remember in 2015-16 you were quite a Trump fan. Where most of us took Trump's rhetoric in 2015-16 as seriously as we'd take a rant from a WWF wrestler, you seemed to buy it hook line and sinker. From this post, you seem to have taken it more personally that Ted Cruz.

Assuming the court accepts the Texas suit and the motion of Missouri et al. to intervene (i.e., to become plaintiffs), the map above represents how the states fall out at the moment. Only Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, New Hampshire and Wyoming have yet to participate.

Plaintiffs:
Plaintiffs, amicus:
