If my very neocon dad is any indication.

He says that McCain has the republican nomination locked up, so he's going to vote against Hitlery by voting for Obama.

He honestly believes that McCain can win against Obama.

I've been crying my eyes out, not only because he is so &*^%$, but mostly because I have been so inept at changing his mind...

The upside is, of course, that he's not voting against Ron Paul.

He must be confused... is he one of those people who thinks there's a lot of racism? Sure, there's some... but not enough to make Obama loose... not even close. If anything, Obama's skin color helps him.

any vote not for ron paul is a vote against Ron Paul. And if your dad believes that McCain stands a chance against someone decades younger, shades darker and with a popularity McCain could only dream about, then....

I don't even know what to say that doesn't sound mean.

He didn't mention the racism reason, but it's probably a factor.

He said that McCain certainly wasnt his first choice (weakly liked Thompson), but that here's no way he'd ever vote for "One of those other two".

my mom/dad inlaw are voting obama in the primary - just to insure that hillary does not win in texas. in november, they plan to vote mcWAR! they are southern baptist and i'm sure their fellow church members are planning to do the same!

I don't know what to say either, I mean you have to deal with people with diplomacy, agree with their correct thoughts and let the similarities between you grow instead of letting your disagreements grow.. but this..=/

I told him that McCain has a lot of skeletons in his closet(vietnam pows, lobbyist issues, cancer, bush endorsement, numerous and infamous liberal bills, infidelity) and that the democrats will air them all if he does get the nomination. = no real response to this.

I told him that people were voting for democrats 3-1 or more in all the primaries. He said, well now that the nomination has all but been decided, the democratic race draws them to the polls because it is still undecided. No real response to me trying to reiterate that democrats from every state were voting more..

I guess there are people who believe everything they hear on msm..

Older people perhaps still think that the media is honest and unbiased, Lois Lane style, like it may have been when they were forming their political ideas decades ago.
The MSM says that McCain is electable, it must be true, eh?

WTF???

You mean Obama Magic has even seduced the warmongering NeoCons with reverse psychology??? Damn!! Obama is messianic!!! :D

Just tell them if they vote for Obama in the primary... You will vote for him in the general, if RP isn't on the ballot =P

The neocon embracing of Barrack Obama is disturbing. In fact his whole campaign is disturbing. It's actually reminiscent of Bush's campaign where he ran under the guise of no nation building and change...

That's good, maybe only Paul and Huck supporters show up, denying McCain delegates.

Only idiots think McCain can beat Obama. I can't wait for these fools to get bitch slapped with reality. They obvious aren't paying close enough attention to what's going on in these primaries. Dems are turning out twice the amount of voters than the Republicans in these elections. And oh yeah, Obama is raising ungodly and disproportionate amounts of money compared to McHypocrite. It's going to be a lopsided landslide in November.

I can't wait for the betting odds. I'm gonna get rich of these morons. :D

QFT.

1 million donors? Ability to raise 30+ million in one month?

RNC begging for money, versus moveon.org already having a substantial war chest?

Ron Paul is the only candidate that can raise the resources required to go up against that (besides a self financed candidate..)
