Texas Monthly Talks TED NUGENT

Thanks man.
Uncle Ted rocks.
Saw him live when I was 17 years old, reckon he was around 35 at the time.
Him and the two dude he brought with him rocked the house.
They were monsters in every sense of the word.
Ted knows how to live, that is he lives the way he wants to live and he has been wise enough to insure he has the money left after a long music career to do so.

What is not to like about this guy?

This country needs more automatic weapons and machine guns in private hands.

He's a neo-con? Still, I like the guy.

I must be lost. Please explain how he is a neo-con? Hyper, yeah, colorful, yeah, but a neo-con?

I realize that the masses have drifted left over the years. But have people drifted so far left, that when they see some one dead center of the constitution they call it far right?

Just a few things from "terrible Ted's" own columns:

He supports pre-emptive war, using Israel as a proxy, against Iran.

Israel can surely no longer expect America’s support, even if the religious voodoo clowns in Iran launch an offensive against them.

Israel knows that war with Iran is not a question of if, but when.

John Bolton, America’s former United Nations representative, recently wrote that he believes there is an 80 percent to 90 percent chance that Israel will attempt to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities before the end of the year.

Let’s hope so. A world without Iran having access to nuclear weapons is a safer world.

Liberal buffoons believe in John Lennon’s lyrics: “All we are saying, is give peace a chance.” I believe what Karl vonClausewitz wrote: “To secure peace is to prepare for war.”

Peace and love will get you killed. True peace is achieved through the application and unrelenting use of superior firepower.

History tells us the Roman Empire did not attempt to negotiate peace with its enemies. Instead, it went about the task of killing the enemy. Romans rocked.

He suuports the liberty destrpying "War on Drugs."

Hippies, dopeheads, corrupt politicos and various forms of human debris hate me, making me the perfect for the job.

As drug czar, I would charge our mayors and police departments to commit to fighting the drug gangs. It would be our top priority. Our inner cities will remain war zones until we commit to taking the trash out.

America needs to better arm our Border Patrol agents and we need more of them.

The governors of the border states should call out the National Guard to assist the Border Patrol in securing the border. As drug czar, I would challenge them to do this today, as I would the governments of Mexico and South America.

Working with the Colombian government a few years back, U.S. Special Forces filled Pablo Escobar with bullet holes. Until assuming room temperature, he controlled 80 percent of all the cocaine shipped into America.

Every American who smokes dope, manufactures, buys or sells meth or uses any illegal drug is aiding and abetting the enemies of America. Case closed.

He supports the "war on Terror," and the ridiculous claim that "they hate us for our freedom."

Our enemies abroad are violent Muslims who hate America for our freedoms and Western values.

* We cannot negotiate with them. Killing them is our only hope.

He supports keeping GITMO up and running and believes the patently false claim that those "detained" there are "the worst of the worst."

Ted Nugent: Still free and safe? Thank Gitmo

Amazingly, President Bush said he wanted to close it. Now President Obama has signed an executive order to close it.

Both are wrong. We should keep the detention center at Guantanamo Bay open.

I have been to Gitmo to visit with the U.S. Marines running what is an essential institution for the security of a free world.

The Marines with whom I spoke told me they would never turn their backs on any of the dangerous terrorpunks held there.

There's a LOT more, but that's a good start. Ted is great on the 2nd Amendment, he talks good on other issues, but at the core he's a Bush neocon.

Makde some great music too.

At least he is good on the Second Amendment. Then again, he says he "don't need no document". It's his natural right.
