I'd favor a big camp out on the eve of the event over everyone getting hotel rooms and being isolated til the day of the event.
What about you?

I'm worried crime, specifically theft, would be an issue. I have no idea what it is like in DC.

I'd love to camp out if I could go, but then again I'd really want a hotel to be able to take a shower because I'll probably be coming on a train if I come.

Also crime can be an issue as previously stated.

Frank Luntz would be proud of this questioners ability to frame the answers he wants...

regardless I'd probably want to camp out. lolz
Small group.. not like 200,000 in a paddock though. hehe

camping in spring w/ lovely mosquitos um um sounds buggy to me

Maybe have the local meetup groups camp out several weeks in advance use a several of those mosquito eating machines that use a small pilot light to produce CO2 to attract them to a nylon bag were they die from dehydration. After a couple of weeks the local mosquito population is broke and it takes a couple of really good rain events for them to come back.

Who are you, Frank Luntz with this biased poll?

I think we'd have a bigger effect by booking hotels there. Imagine if every hotel in DC was booked for the weekend, that alone could generate news before the rally itself.

Nope, I'm not Frank, and I think media coverage would be bigger with airiel shots of 100,000 people camped out at Laffeyette Park or on The Mall.

I'm for camping out, it's not like any of us are going to actually be SLEEPING out there!

No camping for me, I like private bathrooms that come with a motel room

Forget the TV though, I don't watch it.
