Only people of very limited mental abilities would care about height.
Being short is a definite disadvantage in a presidential election.

I keep telling you all, television and the internet are visual media. Looks are important. The camera reveals every detail. This is a good opportunity to point out what I said before: Rand needs to be in a bright white shirt. Rubio, who is a handsome man who does well on camera looks almost sallow in his gray shirt. Rand needs to wear shorter, flatter hair. He and Christie look like they just came in off the playground and they both need to stand up. In the last shot, Carson stands straight. He looks relaxed and poised.
I think it needs to be puffier so he looks taller.
I don't trust any of these numbers, feels like WWE billed height and weight.
This is probably how you get extra 3":

Those shoes enable you to get the height from the heels and also a lift inside the boot. Double the effect.

Public height stats for celebrities and other public people is notorious fudged. You'd be surprised. There is actually a bias towards shorter people in entertainment, based upon the fact that the biggest stars prefer to be surrounded by people shorter than themselves.
