Second my life was not too sheltered but my parents would have put a stop to anyone older than me dating with me.

It's the other way around for me. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I've always preferred older men and because I'm thinking of myself at 24 and can't imagine a 14 year old boy as a sexual partner or because I'm the parent of a 15 year old boy and can't imagine what a 24 year old woman would see in him.
