Tea Party Started in 2007 but tell that to these people

I completely agree. As much as I'm sure we'd all love to have millions of Murray Rothbard's out there protesting against the government, it's simply not realistic. The tea party is more traditionally Republican than we'd like, but they are open to the message of freedom. Dismissing them because of Palin and company's co-opting of the movement is incredibly shortsighted.

Amy Kremer did not start anything... she works for GOP consultant Sal Russo and his fake tea party bus.

The real movement was December 16, 2007 and there was a march in July of 2008 on DC.

I don't talk to tea party members and I wouldn't rain on their parade . I already can't stand my dad and his damned talk radio and how he use to listen to glenn beck religiously. Talking to him was like talking to a wall.

I didn't send tea bags, but I remember folks talking it up on some other forums, in the form of an "e-mail pass it on" thing.

As I recall, the tea bags being sent that I heard about didn't have anything to do with Paul/liberty movement.

The rally to send tea bags as I remember seemed more of a vent than something of any real substance.

I remember thinking: "What's with the vague tea bags? Why not get involved with something productive like electing this guy (Paul)?"

I believe there was also a movement around the same time to send 'bricks' to deal with the border.

Of course! Santelli and Peter Schiff are friends of Paul's from the financial sector and Santelli mentioned WATER and with that was referring to the fact that you guys threw the 'tea' in the harbors that day.

Many of us were there. We saw it. We gave until it hurt. First on Guy Faulks Day and just one month later the Tea Party money bomb. We've seen the hijackers use their tactics and we know why. First they accused us of voting 1,000 times each to make Ron Paul win the debates. Then they temporarily shut up when they saw us raise $4.3 million in one day from small contributions. We were angered and hurt when Glenn Beck called us terrorists. Just one month later we really got their attention when we raised $6.5 million in one day. The elites KNEW this movement was growing strong. The whole idea of minding our own business and not policing the world goes back to our very foundation. Most Americans disagree with this type of foreign policy and that's why Ron Paul resonates with so many people from all walks of life and across all political spectrums. But his and our three main issues are foreign interventionism vs non interventionism, sound monetary policy and abolishing the Federal Reserve and trashing the fiat currency system and of course Constitutional limited government and reduced taxes.
We saw how on one hand they trashed our candidate with slogans like "he can't win" and "he's a crack pot" and "he's crazy" to "he blamed the attacks of 911 on the United States" and then they tried to ignore us. But we KNEW that "THEY" KNEW
1) He's not a crack pot.
2) Our movement was growing exponentially
3) He could win over the majority of the American people
4) we and RP weren't going to go away.

Their response? Hijack the movement by introducing a bunch of people who appealed to the Constitutional limited government and the low taxes elements of Ron Paul's message but who strategically deflected away from the two primary issues--the Federal Reserve and the military industrial complex. The two entities who run this country from behind the scenes. The two most powerful entities and the two most corrupt and evil entities that probably ever existed on this planet. The entities who are responsible for more human suffering, more environmental degradation and more loss of our sovereignty and more hatred for Americans world wide than ANY other force on the planet.
NONE of them talk about the Federal Reserve or the military industrial complex and all the anti war people who got Obama elected hate us because of the neocons and their "liberal media" cohorts who have made us into a bunch of anti environmental, war mongering racists who want to stomp on the poor.

We NEED to take back the Tea Party Movement and we NEED to take back the Christian conservative voters

I was marching in 2007 as well. In-fact, in the Charlotte, N.C. area we had a really nice crowd.

Whatever we name our effort, the neocons will steal that one as well; unless we copywrite it.
