Tancredo out!

Is this anything like "Seacrest Out"?

Actually, watching some of these debates does feel painfully like the bad auditions from American Idol.

Just need Simon Cowell as moderator :D

"Rudy dear, you would make the absolute worst president ever. I'm being completely serious with you."

Hold up with your insults people!

Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo are friends. Tom Tancredo is ranked the second most Constitutional person in Congress next to Ron Paul. Even though some of of their views differ they have respect for each other. You should follow Dr. Paul's lead.

Yes I know what you mean he is great with non-empire spending and what I like most about him is he clearly believes what he says. I guess I just take offense to his behavior lately. And yes you are right Ron is friendly with him despite their differences.

greatness.

IF Tom would endorse Paul I think this would greatly help out in Iowa. No it's not going to produce a win, but it could certainly help solidify a top 3 finish.

Ron is already in the top three in Iowa (within MOE). We'll see how the actual caucusing goes.

This is Tancredo :

A fucking neo-con.

Jesus. I had no idea he was that sick, shortsighted and vicious. Imagine if Osama or someone else was threatening Jerusalem's holy sites, the place where Christ was born, etc. Not an iota of respect for someone else's religion.

Repugnant. I'm too disgusted by him to say anything else that isn't a long string of cursing.

That's the way I am too. The only thing that turns me off is the complete arrogance of so many on this forum who know nothing about Tom Tancredo and dismiss him as a "neocon". This just shows their complete ignorance. Tancredo is the quintessential paleoconservative in the way that Pat Buchanan has been. His book In Mortal Danger is a classic paleo book, right up there with Buchanan's In Mortal Danger.

While Tancredo may not agree with Buchanan or Paul on foreign policy, on everything else they're in line. Tancredo dismisses the "proposition nation" outlook of Bush and the neoconservatives, and has written and spoke about the dangers of multiculturalism and unchecked immigration.

Tancredo was talking about this stuff long before it was popular, and he was unafraid to stand up to Bush and co. Karl Rove even went so far as to tell him to "never darken the doorsteps of the whitehouse."

Tancredo belonged to Paul's Liberty Caucus and Paul to Tancredo's Immigration Reform Caucus. It is no surprise that the liberals who make up so much of Paul's base dismiss Tancredo with smartass one-liners, but for many of us who actually know something about the man, he is a brave patriot in the same way that Ron Paul is.

Foreign policy is kind of a big deal, and when TT says idiotic things like we should bomb mecca he sounds just like the neocons so what's the difference.

Do you even know what context he said it in? It was hardly an actual foreign policy choice, it was in answer to a question about what kind of deterrent there is for people intent on blowing themselves up (suicide bombers). No, it wasn't a great thing to say, but it was one comment a couple of years ago, and it's been used to smear him by liberals and big name Republicans for a long time now. Just like with the immigration situation -- name calling has been everyone's biggest weapon against Tancredo. When you label someone a racist or use a smear-by-association attack (which is the Democratic party's biggest weapon) then you don't have to discuss the issues.

Tancredo obviously has immigration as his #1 issue, with the war and spending as his #2, 3. Ron Paul would do the best IMO on immigration, and also the best on cutting spending, 2/3 ain't bad, hopefully that's how Tancredo looks at it and endorses Paul.... them being buddies and all, plus the fact he hates people who flip flop and pander and knows Paul is a genuine conservative should help as well I hope.

That would be illogical; as nobody is going around arab countries, and killing them in the name of Jesus. (As opposed to people actually telling us: we're killing you in the name of allah.)

His supporters will go to the pro-war ppl, so that;s bad, but other people dropping out means Ron has more credence, so that's good.

I don't think that's bad at all. We need them to dilute the pro-war vote in my opinion. All the "top tier" pro-war candidates are helping RP.

If I wasn't supporting Ron Paul, I would probably be backing Tancredo because they share similar views on most domestic issues and both respect the Constitution. Of course, Ron Paul stands out on monetary and foreign policy, but I think we could pick up a number of Tancredo supporters even if there are not that many.

With Tancredo dropping out, it leaves no candidate but our hero in the race that actually gives a s*** about this country.
