I'm not a big Tancredo fan but he absolutely is not a neocon. Saying that distorts the definition of a neocon.

I'm a bit surprised he would drop out so close to the primaries, you'd think he stay in a few more weeks to see how it goes. Out of money? Doesn't want a bad performance hurting his future political opportunities? He might do ok in Iowa if he stays in, he did well in the straw poll.

Why would he drop out days before the Iowa caucuses? It doesn't really cost him anything to just see how many votes he gets. He siphons away some of the votes from the other Neo-Cons.

Maybe he doesn't want to siphon, maybe he wants to endorse a candidate.
