Tancredo dropping out tomorro

I don't know if it's true or not, but, if it is, the benefits to Tancredo could be as follows: 1) if he drops out now, he can attribute his poor performance in the primaries to that fact, and 2) if he endorses a "winner," he can claim some degree of responsibility for that candidate's success. So many of the other candidates seem inextricably wedded to TWOT (the war on terror), though, that I don't expect even Hunter or Tancredo to endorse Paul, as they both inevitably drop out.

Maybe his campaign has debts (he's not bring the money in), matching donations wouldn't even meet it, and someone like Romney offered to buy him out in exchange for an endorsement and closing the field of neocons. They see the threat that is Paul.

If true and he does drop out. And if he endorses somebody, we will see once and for all if Tancredo really wants to put America first or if he is another globalist playing the immigration card for himself.

Ron Paul has a record of putting America's Sovereignty first FOREVER. An endorsement of any other frontrunner is an endorsement for globalism.

Tancredo MUST endorse Ron Paul if he truly believes in stopping illegal immigration, the NAU, and protecting America's SOVEREIGNTY! If he doesn't, then he's a HYPOCRITE! Just imagine tomorrow if Tancredo drops out and says, "I believe very strongly that it is extremely urgent that we stop illegal immigration and secure America's borders. It is high time that the power in America be taken away from the elites and globalists in Washington and returned to the people. It is for this reason that I endorse Congressman Ron Paul for President of the United States of America." Ron Paul uses this endorsement to WIN Iowa, WIN New Hampshire, uses Sanford's endorsement to WIN South Carolina, and WIN the Republican nomination! Sanford then joins Paul on the Republican ticket and they defeat Clinton/Richardson in the general election!

My guess is that he'll endorse Fred Thompson, and that he's getting out now, hoping to throw some support his way.

I talked to someone I know in the Tancredo campaign this summer (pretty high up, but it's so small everyone is high up) - and they were really excited about Thompson possibly running. Tancredo never thought he would win. He only wanted to bring attention to immigration.

I don't think Buchanan's going to endorse Ron Paul or anybody else for that matter. He's being like Switzerland because of his pundit work on major news channels. In fact, a caller from Mississippi called in to C-Span today while Pat was on. The caller said Ron Paul was a real Goldwater-Reagan republican and wondered if Pat agreed. Pat was quite evasive in answering the question and gave RP little praise (said RP has a strong monetary policy). He actually tried to give all the candidates props on one issue or another.

I think Tom Tancredo is dropping out because he does not have money to continue his campaign. At the end of the third quarter he only had 110 thousand dollars on hand. http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.asp?format=Print&id=-1&cycle=2008.

I noticed after the last debate Tom was at the side of Ron Paul chatting with him. I wondered then if Tom was moving toward throwing his support to Ron. It would not surprise me if Tom Tancredo throws his support to Ron Paul. It would be the smart thing to do. IMO, the writing is on the wall, the neocons are on their way out.

I only caught it in passing, so it was probably something like, "word has it," or something similar, but I heard Tancredo will drop out tomorrow. I just didn't catch the lead in, which (now that I think about it) could change the meaning.

The thing I don't understand is why not wait until he gets the matching money to pay off whatever debt he has amassed. What's that about?

It'd be pretty dumb if he endorses Fred Thompson. Didn't Fred Thompson say that he thought NAFTA is a good organization? Maybe I'm confused.
