Just making my presence known in Tampa and a cop pulls up beside me and asks me if he can take a picture of my car. I of course told him I'd be glad to have him take a picture. We pull ahead to a side street and he tells me his friend is a big Ron Paul fan and a Corvette fan. I told him how much better off we'd be if Ron Paul was the Republican nominee. I offered to take his picture in the car, but he says he's afraid he'd be fired. He takes his cell phone pic and offers me his hand. We shook and parted as friends.

I guess they aren't ALL bad... ;)

I saw your car at either Paul Fest or the Paul speaking event, walking past it with my daughter. She's like "why did you stop?" (We are always holding hands in parking lots.) Me: "This car is bad asssss."

Awesome car, and I'm glad I got to tell you that instead of just look at it.

There's no doubt that they all CAN be bad. I CAN be bad (and I've been) but not all are BAD all the time. Really, how many of us can say that given a badge and a gun, we would NEVER abuse that so-called "power"??

I wish I was perfect, but I've already failed in that regard. Sorry to all who were expecting perfection (oh, not even ONE of you?????)

:p

Some can be good. One saved my son's life a few years ago. Will never forget.

COPS ARE EVIL THEY SHOOT DOGS

They are individuals too.

Seems to me that there should be a differentiation between disliking the organization because of its unbridled and corrupted power vs. hating everyone who works for it.

^^Truth.

Let's not fall into the collectivist mindset. We need to be bigger than that.

Let's not fall into the collectivist mindset.

Show me a cop that won't arrest someone for smoking a plant, and I'll show you a cop who's about to lose his job.

While it is true that some cops are genuinely trying to protect and serve, and that minority is commendable for that reason, they are still not "good cops." With the exception of cops that are soon-to-be-fired for refusing to victimize innocent people, there is no such thing as a "good cop."
