Talking to girls

I have scared them off by smiling, without even saying a word.
They get this "deer in the headlights" look and either leave or find someone they don't know to talk to.
Lol.

Maybe.......it wasn't your smile that scared them off, it was your face.

:D

As I have previously stated, it's all about the face.;)

Perhaps.
I am not disfigured nor (do I think) butt ugly.

Never really figured it out. But I've been married for many years, so it hardly matters any more.

Man, this thread is blowing up. lol. And for the record, I am *not* stalking her! I just check her out in class sometimes. Just because I'm able to tell a decently long story about an interaction with a person does *not* mean this is what my life is revolving around!

What's the boyfriend-buster line? I would also like to point out that I (think =P) I am a pretty great guy and if this girl knew all my awesomeness (and if some of yall did too) yall'd be like "damn, she should totally hook up with him (him being me =P)

Oh yes. And I like smiley faces. wut wuttt =PPP (gosh some people are rude! =P)

I skimmed the last three pages, but I'm willing to bet Melissa insulted men in general somewhere. :)

@Melissa: Guys don't want Barbie dolls, I have only met a couple who do, and they aren't what I would consider "high-quality" men. Everyone's different. In my group of acquaintances, none of us agree on if a girl is attractive or not.

When I was pressed to give the "short short" version, I said that the phrase "Men are pigs" has some relevance to this thread. I don't think all men are pigs, though :D If you read the whole thing, in order, it might make more sense... but I wouldn't recommend it as a stellar use of time.

You are 100% correct about quality, imho.

Oh well here's a picture of me:

You sure it's girls you are interested in?

Or has vernacular for men in college changed that much in the past 10 years?

Girls: Yes, I like them. Looking 4 1, btw ;) =P =)

I a bit resent your point, but if I seem simple to you I can assure you, this is me, communicating as I please. I always run the dialact. I'm DjLoTi dude. I could prob run circles around you. I want to Run with my friend Mike, I'm not sure if he's gonna do a run but I would really love to do that.

lol. You said you're inc ollege right? Well in that pic you are standing next to three girls. I would try to work out a monday thru friday schedule with them and maybe a few more, party on weekends and see what happens, then sometime after college when I was stable in where I wanted to be and doing what I wanted to be doing for income would I consider ONE!

Of course don't pass up the right one, but don't worry about one right now, is the only advice I would give.

Na you'd be surprised. You're body's in better shape then you prob think. ;) confidence ;)

Anyway, hope 2 see you out there ;) if not running for liberty, then some other battlefield....

Btw in case you aren't sure I'm just kidding with ya.

I've always found that a very interesting thing. I don't think it has as much to do with the guy being a jerk, as it does finding a mate who fulfills a desired role. Way too many people confuse being an absolute asshole with being an assertive, supportive, adoring mate who is protective without being possessive. An "alpha male" is simply the male with the highest rank, and what elevates one to high rank in society varies from what it used to, at least to some extent.

What's really awesome is having someone around who's comfortable in their own skin, really comfortable with your skin, able to support themselves, willing to support you if you can't anymore, helpful in forming a safe haven from all the other idiocy in the world, and with the drive to pursue their dreams without abandoning all their other responsibilities.

Most people who are 'alpha males' are dominant over others and have a hard time changing that for a relationship.

I won't be surprised when someone comes up with some website with the tag line:

"libertarian girls for libertarian men between political election cycles."

Of course. There are a lot of women (or men, for that matter) who would make fine mates for the extreme "alpha" type guy.

Men and women who want to "change" one another into something they aren't... that's a whole 'nother failure.
