Really, I'm thankful for Trump 2.0. Trump 1.0 wasn't really racist. He restored HBCU cuts that Obama made by taking money Dubya allocated for HBCUs and putting it in the general fund. He forgave $300 million in HBCU Katrina debt. He pushed through the First Step Act which firnished the job Obama started of repealing the racist 1993 Clinton/GIngirch/Biden crime bill. He was ready to pass Tim Scott's police reform bill in 2020 that the Democrats filibustered. He offered the Platinum Plan in response to Ice Cube's "Contract For Black America" proposal that, while it didn't go as far as Cube wanted, went much further than Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ever offered the black community. Kamala Harris said she wouldn't do anything specifically to help black people and then went and passed an Asian hate crimes bill, which makes this latest story of an Asian store owner murdering an innocent black teen all the more painful.

Meanwhile, Trump 2.0 has gone full KKK. From offering police immunity after a cop murdered Sonya Massie on camera for saying "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus" (he now admits that's the reason he did it), to trying to force the African American Museum to take out exhibits about the civil rights movement including a famous photograph of one of the "lunch counter sit ins" to fight segregation because that's somehow "divisive" and "un American" to temporarily taking the Tuskegee Airmen out of the AIr Force curriculum as somehow being "DEI" (meanwhile he has incompetent Linda McMahon over the Department of misEducation), to firing a black 4 star general from being chairman of the Joint Chiefs who had been an F-16 instructor and replacing him with a white 3 star general who retired having only made it as a F-16 instructor to cancelling a program in the "black belt" in lower Alabama to bring sewage to poor blacks while keeping in place the same program in West Virginia for poor whites because somehow helping black people get the same sewage services as white people is "DEI." He tries to molify his racism with wierd stunts like having a black history program and inviting Tiger Woods (who doesn't claim to be black), and talking about erecting some sort of "hero garden" with statues of people like Harriet Tubman while at the same time his adminstration was scrubbing Ms. Tubman off of the underground railroad website. And yet at the same time he appointed Lynne Patton to be over "minority outreach." How can you have a director of minority outreach while at the same time scrubbing famous black people that EVERYBODY knows about from federal websites? And white confederate sympathisers have the gall to call taking down confederate statues, which were only put up nearly 100 years after the Civil War in defiance of the Civil Rights movement "erasing history?"
