To the extend that current taxpayers financially benefited from the actions of their parents it is not unjust for them to have to return that money.

Yeah, that's a stretch. Unless, you can draw a direct financial link from each parent to each current taxpayer.

In any case, I get where you're coming from. But I didn't want to leave the impression in this thread that opposition to reparations can only be because of "white hypocrisy".

The problem with handouts is too many handouts and you milk the cow without feeding it.

Whenever we take in impoverished people from other countries its a handout most of the time.

If these were the very best people they wouldnt be leaving their homeland because its broken they would be trying to fix it.

Telling people they can only get ahead by getting a handout gives someone a loser mentality and a defeatist mindset.

These attitudes are socially contagious like a lot of mental illness. One person with no motivation and a bad attitude is like a bad apple ruining the whole bunch.

You get a lot of immigration like that with our system. People that dont want to be here or hate this country because they are indoctrinated by anti American propaganda. If you have too much of that the whole tree rots.

People do return that money in the form of taxes. Thats the whole idea of taxation.

You pay back into the system you have benefitted from.

People who have not benefited as much dont pay as much into the system.

Does that mean we should bill people for taking more from our system than they give into it?

Our poorest people have access to things billions of people on earth dont have because the wealthiest Americans invested into the system we have and gave it more than they took.

How do you return the benefits of modern civilization that were paid for with the taxation? Should we take away people's internet access for social justice?

Should we take away people's electricity because of historic injustice from 2000 years ago that they benefitted from?
