Taking things from white people

It seems extremely unlikely to me that she would have heard that, or seen that, from where she was standing.

As you said and we agree, it's a goddamn riot, and riots, are $#@!ing loud.

Ashley Babbitts family will get their day in court. The case is set for trial. I've watched this video again now for more times than I can count.

At 14 seconds in two things happen at the same time. One person says "He's got a gun" and right as someone else smashes the window Ashley Babbitt would crawl through. That person backs away. The person who yelled "He's got a gun" moved forward towards the side where the smashed out window with his arm outstretched and still yelling "He's got a gun." One person, dressed in blue, goes to the middle door and waves presumably at the officer who ultimately shot Ashley Babbitt. Then at 23 seconds you can see Ashley trying to climb through the window and at 24 seconds she is shot. The person in blue can be seen moving next to Ashley at 23 seconds presumably to try to disuade her from crawling through. And of course before that, not shown in this video, there were three cops standing in front of the doors and other others in the crowd where punching right next to the cops face. My main point to Anti Federalist is that crowd was not being detered by the police presence. Ashley should have been deterred by the barricade and the other officers who had been standing in front of the door even if she never saw the officer on the other side or heard the person a few feed from her yelling loud enough to be clearly heard over the noise of the crowd "He's got a gun." But again, her family gets to have a trial. I think there SHOULD be a trial. I hope all of the people in that halway, from the cops who were intimidated into leaving their posts to the other people in the crowd to the SWAT team that was coming up the steps to the officer who shot Ashely Babbitt, are required to testify. I hope it doesn't get thrown out on a motion to dismiss and there are at least depositions and all of the pertinent facts come out. And I hope the jury treats this exactly the same as they would if the politics and the race of all of the participants had been reversed. But all too often people let those side issues drive their judgment.

You know what does deter people? A gun visibly aimed at them. This was proven in the subway systems on Jan 6. I doubt you'll find video of it as the subway systems are sensitive/confidential. But a ton of rioters made it into the subway systems - which is a LOT more sensitive of a location than that hallway btw - and noone had to get shot because the cops visibly aimed their weapons at the people and told them to get on the ground.

But yes, the mere presence of cops, does nothing, if the cops themselves, are doing nothing.

Is he really talking about discrimination against non-natives? Or just the opposite?
