Take over the GOP [No excuses!]

After a while it's honestly not going to be hard to take back the GOP. Apathy works in both ways. Unless McCain is elected, it should start getting a lot easier.

Our group tried that. It failed.

Takes more than a few months to accomplish big things. Look how long it took Ron Paul to get where he is. I don't think he is a quitter, nor am I. The neocons would love it if we just went away. More fun to be a thorn in their side pushing them out of our way.

We should be willing/able to transform the ENTIRE establishment where we can. The CFR/banker/NWO cabal controls by fostering the phony two party charade, so the movement needs to bypass the charade by running Ron Paul candidate whereever there is a viable opening---be it an open seat in a Republican district or Democratic district. We should be nesting in both parties to apply influence no matter which party is in power, just like the neocons. We should also be trying to take back the media, by getting our own 'Fox' type network going so we can spin the news.

Ron Paul says we should never blame someone for choosing to advance liberty in a different way, or through a different party than we do ourselves. In fact, he says we should encourage a total takeover on all fronts, through all parties.

The GOP has a powerful infrastructure that is currently quite weak. It can be taken over by liberty lovers -- the same way it was taken over by neocons.

The neo-con faction that has taken over the GOP has shut the doors to legitimate change from within.

They do not want the same tactics used against them.

After that creepy RNC display over the last couple of days, the GOP is now dead to me.

And good riddance.

I agree completely. The best way to beat down the neo-cons is to take over the Republican party, not leave it for them.

Take what you want, and leave the rest...just like your salad bar!

/Big Trouble in Little China, anyone?

Why would you think this was gooing to be a pushover? Everyone knows it will take a lot of long and hard work to get this done. No one ever said it would be easy. For people to give up is exactly what the GOP wants. I keep seeing you posting negative things that are contrary to what we are all working to do. If you don't want to help, then come up with a positive and realistic idea that you think will work. Stop being so divisive. If your group didn;t have success as of yet, then keep working at it.

We need to keep learning and finding ways to counter the establishments tactics. Not just say" It didn't work, give up." It's not just you, I see way too many posts about being fed up with what is being done to us. As Edward Griffin says," we need to stage a counter-coup and retake the ship."

The GOP is falling apart. After McCain loses it will be even worse. We need to help break it up and then rebuild it IMO.

I have been so disgusted watching what I could stomach of the RNC, reading the articles about the Secret Service confiscating RP materials from delegates and etc. BUT I still think that we need to get in locally and take it. I truly believe we can't take on the national committees or even the state committees until we control the local and county committees.

This is my tactic.

I also agree with Ron Paul and the posts echoing him that liberty must reside in all the parties. If the GOP in your locality is too far gone, what about the Dems? Are they just as bad? Then build up the Libertarian or Constitution parties.

There are disaffected folks that are active and complacent in every single precinct. Go to the meetings-- local party meetings, school board meetings, city council meetings. You'll know who has the right idea. Build bridges. Is that guy at the end of the table talking up a storm about irresponsible budgets or excessive taxation? Or is that lady on the side nodding her head when someone mentions how beholden our schools are to the NEA? Go to every meeting. When you get a feel for who's who give them a copy of The Manifesto, ask them what concerns them.

You can't go in with guns blazing and start criticizing national. Get involved with the local issues, the local people. I have a hard time biting my tongue when Mrs. So & So wants to have a McCain rally and wants to know who'll come. I know we probably agree on a majority of issues, the others I just have to keep inside. Does she care about the CFR? She probably has no idea what they are. Railing against the NWO and the Fed (as important as they are) will get you nowhere fast when the committees are trying to get free market candidates into the legislature.

Joining them doesn't mean becoming them. It means getting in there, getting a feel for who they are and what they care about and then working the Ron Paul magic. I have no doubt that I am probably the only anti-war Republican in my committees. But they agree with 95% of what I believe in and that's encouraging.

Don't give up and try to fight this battle alone. There are people everywhere who long for liberty, freedom, privacy and more money in their pockets. Do whatever you have to do to find them and coordinate your efforts.

We tried it, and failed as well. But we didn't give up.. We put forth a candidate for State Rep! He lost in the primary by 24 VOTES. We failed again.

However, his opponent, due to reasons unknown, withdrew from the race after the primary. The Precinct Committeeman in our district held a caucus, and nominated OUR GUY for State Rep. Now the local party is behind him 100%. They know who we are, and, while not all of them agree with everything we think, I think they all now appreciate our efforts.

The point is, we thought it was all over.. We were being shut down. We were shat on at our state convention. But we didn't give up. Neither should you.

BTW, our candidate for State Rep is Bill Johnson.

target a ron paul swing state and move there

to become the gop all we have to do is move to one of ron pauls swing states in the west in mass numbers and takeover all levels from the precinct and on up.

This is the type of thing that happened with the pro life movement in the early 1980's

Not only will McCain lose, but tons of other Republicans will as well (like 2006). Then we'll have some Dems in Republican-leaning areas... so if we run our candidates there when the party isn't as unpopular, they could be elected =)

Thought experiment: Try to imagine some German Ron Paul type and his few supporters planning on taking over the Nazi party in Germany, in say 1936. ;)

You mean 1944. Uh.... the other Republicans are dying off.... they're being destroyed. All we have to do it clean up the mess they made and move in. :o
