Run on the local level. Work your way up! We will take over. Stop the BS!
Our group tried that. It failed.
Political ideology Historical:
Classical liberalism
Bimetallism
States' rights
Takes more than a few months to accomplish big things. Look how long it took Ron Paul to get where he is. I don't think he is a quitter, nor am I. The neocons would love it if we just went away. More fun to be a thorn in their side pushing them out of our way.
Don't take over the GOP - BECOME the GOP!
Our group tried that. It failed.
I have been so disgusted watching what I could stomach of the RNC, reading the articles about the Secret Service confiscating RP materials from delegates and etc. BUT I still think that we need to get in locally and take it. I truly believe we can't take on the national committees or even the state committees until we control the local and county committees. The neo-con faction that has taken over the GOP has shut the doors to legitimate change from within.
They do not want the same tactics used against them.
After that creepy RNC display over the last couple of days, the GOP is now dead to me.
And good riddance.
This is my tactic.I agree completely. The best way to beat down the neo-cons is to take over the Republican party, not leave it for them.
Our group tried that. It failed.
The GOP is falling apart. After McCain loses it will be even worse. We need to help break it up and then rebuild it IMO.
Thought experiment: Try to imagine some German Ron Paul type and his few supporters planning on taking over the Nazi party in Germany, in say 1936.![]()
