survey: Mafia v. NWO

Thank You resident ghetto-tard/wigger-chav/pachuco/afrobozo-crackhead/vanilla ice/feminem/emInMen/fabfive freddy-downsyndrome eMpTy-V mental patient , etc etc.

On a happier note, shit-hop culture and music is dying. Recent rolling stone and time magazine articles talked about this. Sales have crashed since 2000 and are still going down. Major labels dropping rappers. Radio stations dropping the formats. etc etc.

All good news =)
Long live the 80s and the new electro scene.

Its one thing to diss hip hop, but to then say its the 80s(!) synth music that you consider so great? If you mean 80s hip hop and metal, then i agree, but thats about it. :-P

Have sales really gone down that much? Seems so when i google it, though it doesn't really give the best of figures... but it seems like there are plenty of hot, stratospheric acts today (T.I., chris brown, ludacris, nas, common, rihanna, kanye west, akon, etc) that beat out any modern rock song in terms of popularity. And a hip hop/R&B song seems to top the charts for most of the year, so sales can't be THAT bad....

I guess its become alot harder to succeed, but if you do, and are really good (or at least popular), then you do VERY well for yourself. Basically, hip hop has gone super-mainstream, where only a few top artists are ever played.

On another note: i finished this post and THEN read the thread title... a bit off in terms of topic, heh

Technically, yeah...but they all remained popular in the 80s (to some capacity or another), and heavily influenced 80s kids (like the Metallica and Megadeth boys, back in the old days).

NO, metallica was heavilly influenced by KILLING JOKE and the like.

And the bands you named were NOT even very popular with the youth of those times.

Kids back then liked billy idol, duran duran, etc far more. Bands that were in their 20's not their late 30's or 40s.

Please get a clue.

Well shit-hop has been dying big time. I used to be way into it, it's just been really shitty since the early 90s imo.

And the 80s were about synthpop and electronic-rock acts I mean, the acts you named don't sell out wembly stadium or the rose bowl like duran duran, billy idol or depeche mode still do.

And all the new electro-clash stuff and all of it's variences have a very 80s feel. All accross the U.S. and Where I live I see far more 80s flashback clubs and
electro-clash music DOMINATING THE CLUBS. Played far more than shit-hop. The clubs are into 80s stuff again and I think it's because of all the shit music that's played in the mainstream that club owners go back to something that was great. And I've been all over California to see this. Sure some podunk dipshit towns might still play shit-hop but they haven't nary a clue about what good music is

If you wanted proof on who the kids are listening to, look no futher than this youtube comparison of kanye west, and My Chemical Romance.

Now you yell me, who has more page hits???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6EQAOmJrbw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZd1Js0QaOI

MCR has 14 million more hits. So given the even playing field we can clearly see that teens want MCR over shit-hops top seller, kanye west.

I'm sure there will always be thousands of morons accross the u.s. that will still follow stale shit-hop stuff, just like there are retards who eat up the paris hilton, shitney spears, poo-dooty, 20 cents, jusitn timerfake drek.

The rapper Nas, considered one of the greats, challenged the condition of the art form when he titled his latest album “Hip-Hop is Dead.” It’s at least ailing, according to recent statistics: Though music sales are down overall, rap sales slid a whopping 21 percent from 2005 to 2006, and for the first time in 12 years no rap album was among the top 10 sellers of the year. A recent study by the Black Youth Project showed a majority of youth think rap has too many violent images. In a poll of black Americans by The Associated Press and AOL-Black Voices last year, 50 percent of respondents said hip-hop was a negative force in American society.

Hip hop sales are down. According to Nielsen SoundScan, sales in the Rap category dropped 20.7% compared with sales in 2005. That is the second largest drop behind the New Age category, which fell 22.7%. Right behind in this dismal race is R&B with a drop of 18.4%. Of course record sales are down across the industry, but the average change is only -2.4% with some genres, such as Classical, gaining as many percentage points as Rap lost. Clearly hip hop, which has been the darling of the record industry these last few years, is in trouble.

Rap sales are down? Will someone tell MTV? - Tweak3D.Net
Rap sales are down 33% from last year, it's popularity is in rapid decline. ... Mississippi Burning: Like Dale Earnhardt crashing into a wall! ...

Rap sales are down 33% from last year, it's popularity is in rapid decline. But you'd never know it watching MTV. I have MTV marked as a favorite on my cable, although I rarely actually watch. And here's why: every single time I flip past it they are playing a rap video. Every.. single... time.... I started keeping track and of the 5-10 times I've gone past every night for the last week it was rap or a commercial 100%.

So is MTV trying to keep rap alive by pumping the crap 24/7?

im glad i block that channel. mtv has been out of my life since the 11th grade.

Maybe it's more like "better taste in music is up 33%".

I'd like to see if kanye west could fill the rose bowl like duran duran or depeche mode could.

I won't hold my breath on that one.

Are you now going to deny that Metallica did an entire album of cover tunes INCLUDING QUEEN?
See here-

For some reason, "Metallica" is reminding me of some court case documentary with a small group (3?) of redneck goth kids who were suspected of brutally murdering a couple boys down by a creek.

Anyone know what I'm thinking of?

West Memphis 3. Give me my cocoa.

Forget the Mafia.
The Mafia is Fucking Irrelevant.
Forget Al Quaida.
El Toilet Bowl is Fucking Irrelevant.
The biggest threat facing our nation today, Criminally, and I do mean Violently Criminally is set up right across from our border in New Laredo.
They don't call it Mafia anymore. Its called a Cartel. During the 80's they worked out of Columbia, Equador and El Salvador. That was then, this is now.
They get their training from people who got their training from our best right here in Fort Benning Georgia. They use the best gear and fear absolutely nothing.
Jihad. Thats a fucking laugh.
These people have no God to answer to. They have no honor or allegiance to anyone.
They recruit 13 year olds by the hundreds for their Death Squads.
They control the I-35 corridor and and all trafficing lanes that branch off of it. They have Cells of highly trained and might I add Experienced... Murderers planted all over the U.S. and our Government turns a blind eye.
They are immune to our toothless laws.
You don't believe that?
Well you damn well better.
War on Drugs?
What a laugh.
There is no War on Drugs.
There is a War though, and the question is...
How many Bricks of Blood Stained Marijuana, Heroin and Cocaine will our people consume frivolously without realizing they are supplying the Enemy untold Fortunes in Bricks of Cold Hard Cash to be used for Payola or Ammunition in this War on US?
Wake up.
We are responsible for the fortunes that keep this Evil, Blood Thirsty beast Alive.
So the next time you fire up that blunt at a party with your homeys, remember the beheaded corpse lying in the dust that made that dope possible and keep in mind that corpse may one day be your own.
There is no Mafia anymore... There is no War on terror... There is no War on Drugs...
Its much worse than that now.
Its a fucking War on You and its right next door in a Hell of our own creation.
Lap it up dogs.
Rant off.

I thought MTV only played shows like Made and Real Life: I want to be a... I never see videos on MTV. Of course I never watch MTV.

Good rant. :D

There are parts 7, 8 and 9 titled, "Smoking Guns", "The Love Affair", and "The Guilty Men" respectively. I highly recommend these documentaries. Also look into J. Edgar Hoover. It's a decent start into understanding the relationship between the NWO and the Mafia.
