Suffolk 1/7-8 Romney 33% Paul 20% Huntsman 13%

*Ahem* I went on a mission for the LDS church to Spain in 2000-2002, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Sure, I'm glad. I have no problem with that.
But facts are facts. And at the time that Romney was promoting the church it practiced racial discrimination and romney did not participate in protests seeking to change it. But I started another thread for the subject if you want to discuss it further.

OK, I don't know what to believe. The PPP one still concerns me. I don't know how accurate this one usually is. The problem is Ron and Huntsman both have cross over votes and those are the hardest to get to come out, and are picked up widely differently by different polls. Don't relax.

I think a Huntsman surge could be okay. I don't think he has much of a chance past New Hampshire, and I think he could damage Romney in New Hampshire and make him touchable for us. Right now Romney is out of reach.

This is what I was afraid of when everyone wanted to "stop" Huntsman. He can take votes away from Romney!

Notice that Newt and Huntsman went up, Romney down, Paul the same, after the debates. If only they had given Paul an equal and fair amount of airtime in the debates, he would have gone up!

They barely let him speak. It's disgusting!

He takes votes from Ron, too! Votes that could be the difference between a 2nd and 3rd place finish. If RP gets 3rd behind Huntsman, the media will be able to say 'see, we told you so...he can't win'.

Perhaps, but he could also help us WIN. Romney down, Huntsman up, Paul same in this latest tracking poll. It's definitely tricky, though.

I would think these polls are under polling Ron. We havn't budged from 20% and I think it is likely we have gained a good 5-10% from that. The debates and ads have made an impact in my opinion. I still have a great feeling about NH.

Was there any mention of when Romney will have to explain defering from the vietnam war and instead going on a mission to promote a church that did not allow blacks to participate in activities; at the same time that black americans were fighting and dying in vietnam?

If only Ron would respond to the moderators as you suggest here the next time they ask him.

I really think Ron needs to talk about working at that hospital in the midst of those bigots that tried to deny service to his black patients. It would put a human face on all of the human beings that are being used as props in this circus. Ron could bring it all the way around and talk about how he knows that Mitt is not and never has been a racist, but 30 years ago Mitt had to live in a racist religious environment the same way that Ron did at that hospital. He could say that both he and Mitt did the right thing and lead by example.

Except Mitt didn't, he avoided protesting the bigotry and promoted the bigotted beliefs.

push like hell to the end ... if mitt fails here to get voters out you just never know ... plus knock out the other obama man as best you can ... keep working like it's overtime game 7

Maybe Ron could play dumb and act as though Ron didn't know that Mitt had aided and abetted his church's bigotry in the past and maybe Ron should only attack him on his chicken-hawked cowardice. This would highlight Ron's wisdom in cutting Mitt a break on the media spectacle of the race issue, while at the same time focusing on the immediate importance of Mitt's continued chicken-hawkedness; and this would also show the absurdity of attacking a courageous doctor who stood up to racists in his midst--all at once.

I really hope Ron can keep pulling in undecided voters. 20% is solid second place but if he can keep eating away at Romney's lead 1st place isn't IMPOSSIBLE.

Another good thing to take into consideration, Romney has such a commanding lead that some of his soft support won't bother showing up to the polls.

So the real headline here is Romney support in NH collapsing

wonder if anyone is going to write it...

You can subtract 1 more percent from Romney after that "I like to be able to fire people" comment, out of context or not.
