Subversion Into Hypocrisy

How it started:

NIH Director: Fauci Critics 'Must Be Brought To Justice!'

Outgoing National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins told the Washington Post that critics of Fauci and his organization are spreading misinformation and should be "brought to justice." He continues the "I am science" argument of Fauci even as the multitude of flip-flops and failed promises have undermined public confidence. [...]

Liberals insist that the reason the system sucks hairy balls isn't because the job they want it to do is too big, and the bigger the system (any system) the more likely it is to be corrupted. No, it's just because "we need to put the right person in charge".

Liberals skip primary.

Liberals don't squawk when the party installs someone who very democratically got exactly zero primary votes.

Liberals tell each other, trust the system and vote blue no matter who.

Liberals accuse people of being toxic for reacting this perfectly reasonable way:

Liberals...

That term has changed so much that it's lost all meaning. Originally, it used to mean something like Enlightenment principles. In my lifetime, it used to mean something like being against wars, for freedom of speech, and keeping the government out of the private affairs of consenting adults (except for commerce).

Now, it means strict adherence to the State's narratives. Religious belief in the coming climate catastrophe. Malthusian population controls. Enforced commerce. Political prosecutions. Whole world governance. And the lust for power above all else.

That's why Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman was universally panned into oblivion the moment it was released. It's a living documentation of just how far the Overton Window has moved in the last sixty years.

And it doesn't leave one feeling that's a good thing.

But, of course, Republicans are now being bigger hypocrites. They always are, when their own bubba is in office.

This aspect of the thing is hypocritical enough. But what boggles my mind is the level of hypocrisy that enables someone to push for mandates favoring electric cars for environmental reasons, then burn them for whatever reason, releasing oxides of petrochemicals and oxides of rare earth elements (freshly dug by African child labor) in the form of thick, black clouds of toxic smoke to roll over the countryside.
