Yeah , I was buying my own at 15 , no questions asked . We had a designated smoking area at High school . Amazing we survived and contributed to society too ....
I'm 33, started smoking at 10 when my dad was stationed in Alexandria, LA. A simple bike ride to the store and $.80 was all it took for a pack of Malboro Reds at 10 yrs old. We lived in Boyce, just off the flight line for the base. Nothin but soybean and cotton fields and bayous...i.e. nothin to do but smoke cigarettes and shoot shit in the woods. We also would walk up and down the roads at that age (or haulin ass on the dreaded and now extinct 3 wheelers

) with loaded 12ga's almost everyday after school, nobody thought anything of it.
My how times have a changed, I got the cops called on me last year for open carrying on my property while mowing the lawn

and even had some crazy lady pull up in front of the house bitching at me for my kids not wearing helmets....that didnt turn out well for her, she definetly got her feelings hurt.
But, as someone else had mentioned, the safest bet is to educate them early on what MJ is, my son, whose in middle school knows what it is. And to those who said, in effect "keep your shit away from their reach..."
What about alcohol? Nobody's asking me to lock my fridge, and I assure you there's almost always beer in there.
It astonishes me when I'm at someone's house having a session with MJ, and one of their kids walks in, they make a very animated effort to hide it. Why? You dont do that with alcohol. All the hurried hiding and shit, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, just adds to the forbidden fruit effect, IMHO, and makes them wonder what you were trying to hide from them.
No offense, but in my honest opinion, only an uninformed person would consider pot a drug. There are far too many people who believe all of the crap they have been told is wrong about various "drugs".
