Stop attacking McCain's "Weak" points.

Seriously. Please stop telling republicans he sold his own Vietnam vets out... Do you not realize that it does not matter if it happened or not. It is a sensitive issue and people(Let alone republicans) don't respond well to bad remarks involving military service.

Second, the McCain Lobbyist scandal is not a good thing for us. Whether the scandal or the Vet issue is true or not. They both look like smears.

What we don't need are the moderate republicans to back up McCain just because it looks like Democrats are taking low blows on him.

Take a look at his donations... They have skyrocketed since the scandal. I'm afraid the Vet issue will make mainstream and prove the end of the republican opposition.

We need to stop this now and only focus on what does get republicans hopping mad... Liberals, and how McCain is one of them.

The Republican electorate has known about McCain's positions for months and still voted for him. Our only hope for the presidency is a MAJOR scandal. Unless, of course, we have many more stealth delegates than I'm assuming.

As the Chairman of my county party, I know what the average republican knows about their candidate... and let me tell you, it is very little.

Many were shocked when I told a packed room that he supported abortion.

Somebody needs to expose McCain for the charlatan and fraud that he is.

Hmm, I seemed to remember the swift boat scandal with Kerry seemed to be quite effective. Besides, half the election is propping your guy up. The other half is knocking down your opponents.

I didn't know that either...

.. ah.. Republicans won't get mad at him for being a liberal. Rush, Coulter, and many others have exposed him for not being a conservative for weeks and weeks and you see how much damage that did. Most of the people supporting him and voting for him don't realize he has ANY scandals attached to him.

The disturbing thing to me is that the media is bringing these scandals out and immediately dismissing them. My fear is they're doing this now when it won't hurt him (by March 4th the gnat like attention span of the voters will forget all about his scandals) and he'll roll on through September since they won't revisit these scandals.

I didn't know that either...

It's because he doesn't

He's always voted against government funded abortions, he only supports abortion for rape victims and when the life of the mother is an issue.

Lying to a packed room isn't going to get us much support either, stick to the issues he's KNOWN to be controversial on, like campaign finance, immigration, etc...

He is a strong supporter of embryonic stem cell research. That's what gets pro lifers hopping mad.

I've got video of him saying it... Anything else is just moderation to look republican. He moderates all of his views to fit everyone... He's a good politican.

anything that weakens McCain increases the chance of a brokered convention.

the NYT story may help him with the base but if his poll numbers (against Obama) collapse he will be forced to drop out "for health reasons"

so hit him again and again, h

The typical Republican will ignore everything about their candidate except that which definitely hits and hurts them. As long as he's no worse than the opposition, they'll rally behind him hoping that he'll at least pack the Supreme Court. There are two places we can hit him where he'll feel it, especially in Texas (which he needs to lock up the nomination without debate on the first round of convention voting):

He can't win in November,

He supports the NAFTA corridor and taking Texans' land.

You want to hurt him (and I do), here are the genuine soft spots that Republicans will not be able to laugh off or twist into an asset in their own minds. These issues will not make McCain seem a victim of the liberal media or give them anything to rally behind. Spread these words and we're in the brokered convention!
