After a rough night of coming to terms with the fact that we've lost this battle (but we won't lose the war), I've decided to make a news organization. Or in other words, a website. A news website. A professional news website. And I need help.

I need help with a name, hosting it, and I need a news team. I'm absolutely 100% serious about this, and I wish to get this website finished by the end of next week. Yes, I'm absolutely serious.

Also... On another note. Unrelated to this. If some of you will recall, I started a website previously who's sole purpose was to create a ten point plan to awaken Americans. I've abandoned this. If someone wishes to take over this project and the website, feel free to PM me. The URL is currently http://thetruthifyoucanhandleit.webs.com

Now... Back to the news organization idea. I need help with the name, hosting, domain, I need a news team, and I need help in general with feedback. If anyone can help me with this, please. I'm really serious about this. I want this to look completely professional, flawless, etcetera. I just want it to be a pure news website where anyone who's anyone can get their news from.

EDIT: Please note that this is NOT the same topic as the one posted a few weeks ago regarding some news corporation... These are two completely different topics.

I was on the other topic but it kind of got buried, lost and forgotten and no one ever got back to me.

A news outlet needs to go above and beyond. It can't just be a website, sorry to say. There are dozens of independent news websites. Yet there are few independent newspapers, radio stations and TV stations left. Very few.

Then you need to think about news reporters. People who get the news and does something with them or investigative reporters. Correspondents, partners. If you regurgitate the news it's no better than a series of blogs.

Do you have MSN messenger?

I think your confusing this topic with that other similar topic regarding starting a corporation... These are two different topics.

And how so? There is not really a single good independent news website out there that's credible, patriotic, etcetera. I think a news website with a mission statement of delivering true news and ensuring that the constitution is upheld is something that really isn't out there in back and white.

And nope... I don't. Sorry :( Just PM me here on the forums.

Please. Really. All I'm asking for, at the least, is help with the name and suggestions as to where to host it, being as I have a literally $0 budget.

How do you suppose to be the 'credible' source out there? If you don't have people on the frontlines then you will only re-run what's been said from other news agencies, and "true news" can suddenly spiral into conspiracy. This is an issue I had with the other topic, the corporation.

Then the matter of funding, false leads.

Just applying a little tough love, don't take it personally please.

Where will the news come from... Oi'. Actual research. Where do you think the mainstream media gets their news from? Actual research. Well, actual biased research, but you get the point. The news would be based off of actual research :/ If a bill is passed that infringes on our rights, it would be reported. If a money bomb is out there, we would report it. If a corporation or bank goes bankrupt, we would report it. If there is a crime that goes unreported that's worth our two cents, we would report it. It won't be considered a conspiracy if it's backed by research and proof ;)

Now the matter of the name. Suggestions? Anyone? Please? :p

Ok, research-based reporting. That's logical for now. Do you ever wish of expanding into more interactive reporting, interviews, photography and first-response reports?

Name.... There are lots of names that flew around. They all included:
Patriot
News Network
Constitutionalist
The New
Constitution
Exchange
True

Personally I'd go for something more contemporary, but I'm not involved in this and it's almost 2am. :p I'll probably post a bit more when I wake up.

Well, to be honest, I'm fifteen. I can't do that type of reporting. If I were older, I'd sure as heck love to. However if this expands later on in time as I get oler, then I'd sure as heck like to do that. But if you don't just mean in person interviews and such, then sure I wouldn't mind doing that.

The Patriot... I like the sound of that.

Hmm... I'm young as well, 18. Problem will always be money and getting investors at such a young age. :p
I'm going to get some sleep and I'll be fresh in the morning.

Justin.tv would be a start. It's a little bit choppy but you can embed it and broadcast live.

This just hit me... Liberty News. That's nearly flawless. Liberty News.

And I'm not quite looking to do a video broadcast :p Just a website.

Unfortunately you'd be constantly challenged by many people.
Results 1 - 10 of about 6,490,000 for liberty news

I'm still thinking of names. :p

National Insider - Good ring to it, but a website with a few people wouldn't live up to it's name.
American Insider - Same as above, already has an organization tied to name.
American Daily Report
The American/National Awaken (er)

Buzzwords:
Insider
Patriot
News Network
Constitutionalist
The New
Constitution
Exchange
True
American
National
Report
Source
United States
Freedom
Educator / Education
Awaken

The next issue is the hosting and the domain, as I currently have no way to pay for things online. So we need some way to get free hosting, and a free domain. Yes, I know this is more than possible. There are at least a thousand free hosts out there, and at least maybe a dozen or so websites that give away free domains for offers and such. All we need to do is find the right ones. So I need help looking into this.

But back to the name... I really was counting on Liberty News. But you're right. It's taken. So how about Patriot News? Just Google'd it. Only difference is a, "the." So I think we're fine :/

I personally like the name The National Awakener. Oh well. Maybe you should recruit some capable people and have a vote on a name. Cause I could sit here and argue for a name all day but it'd be counter-productive.
