I was thinking community news. Maybe something like members can see stories, others cannot, check them out ( nothing like the web for homework), members vote and refine( depending on status), those good ones rise via "diggs" from users whose status comes from the majority.

This puts a filter and adds credibility.

You guys are kinda young, but we can talk CMS and other packages that use open source with little to no costs. Running and keeping up a website is a lot of effort. Understand what you are gettin ginto if you do this.

I'm in my forties, but I have a degree in electronic engineering, I work a day job as an MIS Administrator, running a IT department. I also have a side business, Tomcan.net along with other websites I host.

As you can see I don't have much time, expertise I have a lot of.

Again, though. I'm fifteen. I have no way to pay for anything online at the moment. However I do know of websites where you can get free domains, so this I will probably do.

National Awakener... Sounds a bit too 'conspiracyish.' I mean, I like it, but it probably would turn off "sheeple," if you will.

US Patriot News... Could work. But the domain is all ready taken. Could go with .net, but probably wouldn't be as effective...

If you start a corporation I would gladly lend my support in whichever role I would be assigned. This would have to be a public corporation though. Grassroots can buy stocks, to support it's functioning and getting up to speed. Start locally and expand.

Sadly, as I said I believe at the bottom of page one, this is not a corporation, but rather a news organization website, solely dedicated to delivering honest news. I want it to be organized right unlike most failed attempts at this, and I want it to be user friendly. However, if you wish to help me in terms of graphics, web design, the domain, gathering news, etcetera, that would be lovely. Or even if you could simply get in touch with me via PM and give me feedback every so often while I'm in the stages of web development for the website, that would be excellent.

Because it was the only name available for a domain? I just registered the website. So now we have a host and a website. I can have the web designing portion of this done in two days, and I can have this project off the ground probably by Wednesday.

The only issue I have now is the domain. I have absolutely no way to purchase a domain online, and I don't want to wait around for someone else to buy it.

After a rough night of coming to terms with the fact that we've lost this battle (but we won't lose the war), I've decided to make a news organization. Or in other words, a website. A news website. A professional news website. And I need help.

I need help with a name, hosting it, and I need a news team. I'm absolutely 100% serious about this, and I wish to get this website finished by the end of next week. Yes, I'm absolutely serious.

Also... On another note. Unrelated to this. If some of you will recall, I started a website previously who's sole purpose was to create a ten point plan to awaken Americans. I've abandoned this. Now... Back to the news organization idea. I need help with the name, hosting, domain, I need a news team, and I need help in general with feedback. If anyone can help me with this, please. I'm really serious about this. I want this to look completely professional, flawless, etcetera. I just want it to be a pure news website where anyone who's anyone can get their news from.

if you google newspeace. it comes up first. and i know the domain gets hits all the time. so, i think the domain is a good one if you want to run an independent news site.
