Starcraft 2 kicks ass! Very anti-authoritarian campaign theme so far...

Also, send me a PM here if you add me with your info so I can add you too or contact me in the game :)

It might help to PM me first and work out some times to meet for practice though.

I loved SC1, my cousin bought SC2, I wanted to, but didn't have the money or a pc that could run it :(
Instead, I play Pirates of the Burning Sea which I think is free-to-play now. Woo!

If anyone wants to play 1v1 for practice I would love to play with some cool people, send me a PM.

I currently have about 1700 points in diamond league if you care about that.

lol I'm still stuck in bronze league. Although I have been in the top 5 of my division for a few weeks now....not sure what it takes for them to bump me up to a better league. I win about 4 out of 5 1v1 games. Mostly use roach rushes...

Definitely don't think I could compete with a diamond player though.

If you are in the top 5 it's only a matter of time until you get promoted to silver.

I'm only diamond as zerg, too terrified to queue as any other race cause I care too much about my stupid rating lol.

Diamond is really overrated to be honest, once you understand build orders and how the game flows you can get there really quickly and I play noobs in diamond all the time. Like people cloaking banshees so they can kill roaches or killing my evolution chamber that is right next to my happily mining drones. These are just people who got to diamond by learning one really powerful build but still don't understand some of the basics in the game.

For example you can learn a solid 4 warpgate build, practice it a few times until you can get the timings correct, and it will take you to diamond. Or if you play terran you can learn a good thor/scv timing push and that will take you to diamond. I started out at silver and ranked up just by learning pro level builds such as these and playing games.

If you like roach rushes you should try a build like 13 pool/13 gas, this allows you to get zergling speed upgrade right as the pool finishes and thus makes it pretty safe then get an expansion hatch at 21 and start teching up while building your economy. Once you get comfortable I think you will really see how much more powerful it can be over a roach rush, and you can always switch around if things get frustrating.

The real skill barrier begins much higher in diamond like at 2500+ because as you go up you really need more and more speed (youtube Korean apm demonstration) but I think a solid understanding of strategy can take you to lower diamond easily. Entry level diamond and below is more of a intelligence/knowledge barrier than a raw skill barrier.

It'd be great to arrange a tournament with a Ron Paul team versus a neoconservative team. Once it becomes clear who the neoconservative frontrunner is, we could check if there's any interest at one of their forums (if they'll have any). We'd be gold colored Terrans, and they'd be red colored Terrans. We'd just have to allow them to make the first attack, so we wouldn't be interventionists, but rather act in self-defence. ;)

You think the neoconservatives could pull it off? While we mine hard money, they'll be standing around wondering when the Federal Reserve will print them some money out of thin air to start building an army.

And on top of that, I think we know with the neoconservatives BRILLIANT "strategery", this would be an easy fight to win. ;)
