Spokane Police Search for Serial Butt Slapper

• SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police are honing in on a man they suspect of slapping women on their back sides along the Centennial trail.
  
  They started getting reports about it this weekend and now more than a half dozen people have come forward. Police said runners, walkers and anyone who uses this trail should feel safe and comfortable.
  
  Investigators are still interviewing victims and collecting any video evidence they can find. Spokane Police said they are taking this case seriously. Officials said this is assault with a sexual motivation, which is a gross misdemeanor. They hope to make an arrest this week.
  
  "People should be able to walk down the Centennial trail, at Gonzaga Campus or wherever and not be assaulted," said Spokane Police Public Information Officer Shane Phillips.
  
  Police are reminding people to always be aware of your surroundings when you are out and about.

Of course women in sports butt slap each other pretty regularly too.

Now before I get accused of being a troglodyte, all that sports butt slapping is consensual....well not sure about the first one with the NBA player butt slapped by the elderly male fans on the sidelines.

Maybe it isn't sexual. Maybe he's just encouraging them to pick up the pace a little bit. I mean, if it was a grab, that's one thing, but a pat or a slap isn't necessarily sexual.

Maybe they're doing this to themselves by not moving fast enough.
