Keep in mind that minarchism is a term coined by a market anarchist because he wanted to shorten the term, "limited government libertarianism". Wiki has some pretty good sources that stay on topic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minarchism

Here is one of them. Some of the other terms you might want to search for that explains the idea of "minarchism" without the attacks from anarchist or defenses from limited government crowds would be small government or limited government libertarianism. Those searches might turn up books that discuss the idea with out conflating the subject matter.

I found this book for you.

here is the PDF

Just as a heads up, Murray Rothbard did have some criticism for this work and in the spirit of fairness for all views to be heard, here is the link on that criticism.

and the pdf for the Rothbard criticism. http://www.mises.org/journals/jls/1_1/1_1_6.pdf

Why would you want to read about minarchy? There are so many great books on anarchy and voluntary societies. Start with Rothbard. Get to Molyneux as fast as you can!

To Whom it may concern...

The TS did not ask about a book on anarcho-capitalism; he asked about a book on minarchism. Please stop derailing this thread.

Why would you want to read more about a sytem that proposes the initation of force? I'd say open your mind to reading about voluntaryism and thinking about how we could get rid of institutionalized violence.

Systems that initiate force are of interest to a lot of people. Especially fans of Ron Paul.

We're not derailing the thread. This is very relevant to the discussion at hand.

Yeah, you are. Start your own thread if you want to, but stop derailing this one.

Before you post you should check with your overlords to see if what you are doing is ok and permissible.
Nice, Curlz.

All you have to do is read the forum guidelines and make an attempt at following them. It's pretty easy.

It was never derailed. Liberty Eagle, you're being way to sensitive to derailing. Sometimes topics have many angles.

Since a "best book" in my opinion must contain no contradictions or fallacies...

There can be no such thing as a "best minarchist book".
