Spin Article: "Ron Paul Supporters See Libertarian Opportunity in Paul Ryan as VP"

I still haven't seen my comment posted, it showed up literally for 20 seconds and then it was probably deleted by the author or the site.

yeah, some of mine you can find if you click things, but only because I made some of them REPLIES not new comments... the replies are there but you have to click for replies.

"You libertarians are crazy! Get out!"

*Eight months later*

"COME BACK!!! We found a 'libertarian' VP just for you!!!"

I put my two-penneth in...

You Ron Paul people are as bad as Dr. Paul himself - going around telling the truth all the time! How dare you have the sheer audacity to point out the difference between what Mr Ryan says and what he does! Ssh... if you don't mention any of it, no-one will ever find out. LOOSE LIPS SINK MITTS.

:p

I think all of Ron Paul's people need to vote for Johnson just to show our numbers. I don't want to but we need to make a joint statement in the general election.

Kudos to the commenters. His votes should make it painfully clear his only principle is to toe the line.

His Budget Plan is not for libertarians according to CATO Institute

Paul Ryan's plan compared to Obama's ....Obama sends us off the cliff at 100 miles per hour, and Ryan's sends us off the cliff at 95 miles per hour.

Rand Paul's Plan compared to Obama's

Wow, when your plans don't even pass the milquetoast moderate libertarian Cato yardstick, you're REALLY not Libertarian.

Seriously, if we're even riding Ron Paul's own son, Rand Paul hard over his compromises, how can they possibly think we see anything in Paul Ryan? On FOX, they are already painting Ryan as the "presumptive heir" to the Republican national leadership following this election, thus already positioning him as the future 'inside track' guy to counter Rand Paul or other liberty candidates in office.

Only in an ironic sense the Rombots did not intend, is this an opportunity. When the R & R ticket goes down in flames in November, the GOP will find itself in another "vacuum of power" situation with no national leader (since Ryan will be wounded from the loss). Since they also puffed up the libertarians to try to co-opt their votes, the party establishment won't be able to be credible in then turning on a dime, to scapegoat the Paul faction for the defeat. So this opens up a path for the GOP Paulians to exert greater influence within the party after November.

there is a count of how many vote and a count of how many vote in a presidential race. If a lot more vote in and DON't Vote in the presidential race that, to me, is a vote of none of the above.

Exactly right.

Democrats are already painting Ryan as an extreme right wing Ayn Rand disciple.

I just saw a little button on the side of my Facebook page that said "The Tea Party has their team. Stand with the Democrats." BTW has any candidate ever picked a VP before they actually were nominated at their convention? I can't think of one off the top of my head. I'm no campaign manager, but this feels like a weak and desperate move by Romney.

The guy who pushed medicare part D and TARP? That Paul Ryan?

Oh we aren't supposed to remember that right?

I think McCain announced Palin a few days before the convention.
