South Carolina Election Returns - 19:00ET (1/21/12) - Official Thread

This is how Propaganda is run:

VOTER ISSUE exit polling: voting for Ron Paul:

Abortion: 6%: yes six frigin percent from an OB/GYN opposed to aborition his entire life and told stories about what has happen in the past.
Women 7%: The emotions and ignorance
Age Group 65 & older 7%: propaganda of media works!
Economy 10%: yes South Carolinians voted 90% against Ron Paul who warned everyone of the depression that hit us. these morons have a 10% unemployment rate with a real level of 20%. Clueless idiots.

Just like HITLER...

Overnight, he threw out the German Bill of Rights and made the State the ruling dictatorship.

50 million Germans followed a Madman to ruin... he and the propaganda machine were so effective, he got Germans to hate Germans, Germans to kill Germans. Just what you now see in this country, government identifying everyone by groups, segregating by legislation, enforcing with propaganda and threat of the state stealing property rights, valuables and imprisoning.

No difference... just much more polished with the fascist media.

Excellent points. Don't forget also that this was all greased along because of the failure of the German Mark. When the money went bad, they turned to the only person who promised to help them and that was Adolph Hitler. New currency was issued, the trains ran on time and after that it was down hill from there.

How does one "unregister" from the GOP?

What we are witnessing is the death throes of the GOP establishment. Think for a moment about evangelical Christian hard-core 'conservatives' going 41% for Noot. It's blatant dementia. Don't let the dingbats derail the plan. Especially over the death spasms. We OWN the future. We pull 50% of the under 30's. In 10 years (if the country survives that long) the GOP will be the Paul Party. Be more like Paul himself, look at the big picture and take the long view.

Y'all are gonna think I'm nuts, but if not for Paul's impending victory, the best thing that could happen to our movement within the GOP is a Noot nomination. America will go blue in November from sea to shining sea and the entire party structure will be laid barren in disarray such that whomever has the organization and energy can just pick it up and run away with it in 2013.

The entire R3volution from 2007 on has been victory in paradox. The paradoxes are getting stronger, and that should have been expected.

SC mostly confirmed the paradox. We had people whose most important issue was "sanctity of marriage" vote for Noot. We had people whose most important issue was beating Obama in 2012 go fo Noot, who polls the WORST against Obama.

The establishment is literally loosing their shyt. They are fast approaching "full retard." It is painful to witness, and hard to bear, but it is one of our basic principles that you have to hit rock bottom before you can begin recovery.

The addict has to hit bottom before they can begin recovery. Bubbles have to burst and liquidate the malinvestment before assets can start appreciating again attracting capital. The GOP has to go completely irrationally stupid before genuine sense can begin to prosper. It's the same principle in all those cases.

What we are witnessing, is the GOP accelerating towards rock bottom. I have always said that in 10 years we own the party and the GOP becomes the Paul Party. If Noot is the nominee, we'll do it in 4. I said somewhere on RPF's that Newt winning SC is about the best possible outcome. To borrow from Santorum "these are not cogent thoughts."

This is the R3volution. Every step forward is in the blood borne of paradox. Stop looking on the face of what we are doing and examine the core of what's going on. I believe we are still on track to win in 2012, but no matter that happens in 2012 we are winning.

The reason the establishment is losing their shyt, is because they know it, and don't know how to stop it.

Strategically, that was the big development of tonight, the main one that matters. Santorum did well one last time, he's got nothing to go on to win FL. Paul should have continued to get 20%, but for one night we can take the hit, in light of Romney being upended. When Mitt crushes Newt in FL, Newt will have nothing left. With both Newt and Rick out, we finally get Paul to become THE anti-Romney by sometime in February.

I think 3.6% in 2008 to 13%+ in 2012 is on the growth track we are actually aiming at. Don't forget this was our worst state in 2008.

Here I am trying to throw a hissy fit and you have to come and be rational and ruin it.

The GOP going full retard is a very funny line, but also fairly true.

I don't understand how there could be so many more votes this year than four years ago, especially when there was such bad weather and many poll workers on TV saying it was moderate to low turnout. I doubt democrats went out of their way to vote for republicans this year.

2012 - 602,433
2008 - 431,196

Yeah, that's really weird. They were reporting "record low turnout" right up to the end. :( I'm gonna leave the tinfoil hat in the drawer, but something doth stinketh.

Well, we all have to blow of steam now and then and I really didn't mean to break the vent :D

Trust me, I have more than once fantasized about how to declare the GOP unfit for rational beings and dump it myself in some way that will have the biggest and best impact, but it's just steam.

Ordinary Republicans HATE Newt. Can you imagine if the establishment convinces these ordinary Republicans who hate Newt to swallow their gum and give him the nod, only to lose to...Obama...by one of the worst landslides in history?

It will be open rebellion in the conventions! My that will be fun to watch...

And now, remember that Paulers just BAAAARELY lost critical party elections for state chairs etc in 2009. I mean like in NC we lost by 12 votes out of 800 delegates for State Chair. TWELVE votes.

Along comes 2013, and the GOP is in far far worse disarray than 2009, and the Pauler factions have grown 500 to 1000%.

logic kinda dictates the outcome of that scenario, you know?

This is my view as well. The Grinch would absolutely destroy the party leaving someone like say... Rand, with highly tuned and seasoned advisors, and a huge donor/supporter database.

Indeed. If Gingrich gets the nod, I will bask in his glorious obliteration in the general election.

...but if Gingrich gets the nod, Ron Paul will retire without ever having become President. If that happens, that will seriously be one of America's greatest tragedies. We'll still have Rand for 2016, but it will be a long time before anyone truly lives up to Ron's legacy.

I just hope the GOP voters in other states recognize that this race is only 2% over, delegate-wise. I'm going to do some serious wailing and gnashing of teeth if they also go "full retard" and vote for perceived "winners."

Tonight sucked, but...onward! :)
