I think it's seeing a scumbag like Santorum even being a couple of percentage points ahead of him at this stage is what stings the most right now, but as others have said- it's not the end of the world and this is far from over.

I'll saw something somewhat controversial. I'm not fan of Romney; but there is one reason why Gingrich is winning by so much. Evangelicals in the south will not elect a Mormon. I'm Mormon and grew up in GA; it's pretty bad. Evangelicals will elect a serial adulterer but not a Mormon.
