I've been thinking this way for a while. There needs to be someone in the race who doesn't think that more government is the solution to all problems with government.

Stop and really think about this for a second. Despite whatever any poll says, imho this is one of the worst scenarios. Why? Because both of them are polarizing. People either love them or hate them... which means that voters won't be willing to "waste their vote" because they don't want to see the other candidate win.

Either way you look at it, we simply can't count on Independents. They either love McCain or Obama. I think a much better matchup is Romney/Clinton. THAT's where we can score massive protest/apathy votes (let's hope Nader stays out).
