Source Close to Ron Says it's Possible he Could Still be Swayed to Run 3rd Party.......

There are two months before the election. Ron Paul doesn't have any time to be hemming and hawing on this subject, if indeed he is (likely not.)

I would love nothing more for Ron to run but to me the only way he could is if he was VP on Johnson's ticket. Running indy would potentially kill the liberty movement because WE would get the blame when Romney looses to Dumbo. I'm also not sure if whomever is Gary's running mate would willingly back down.

At this point I think it would be better long term for him to really work on C4L.

I'm not a Johnson fanatic by any means but maybe he could announce the RP would be his pick for a position such as Fed Chair or something siminlar.

That way we don't shoot ourselves in the foot and have a chance in 2016.

I'd welcome it, and work harder than I did in 2008.

I can't last cycle I was in a "work till you drop" lifestyle. 24-36hr lifestyle.. It causes serious health problems I'm still recovering from... I had to back off from that or I'd be dead now.

jeez....people need to move the F on already.

I see Ron, he looks tired to me compared to the start of the campaign last year, the man deserves to rest

So do I, and I'm still fighting! Granted, he's older than I am.

If this is true and Dr. Paul is only reluctant because he doubts the support of the grassroots then he should doubt no more. We are behind him 100%. Maybe this whole ordeal with the RNC sparked a fire in him. A Libertarian ticket of Paul/Johnson would be amazing. But seeing how the establishment elite blocked Dr. Paul from competing in the primaries what makes you think he has a better shot at the general? I could see Dr. Paul easily polling at 15% or higher but still not being invited to the debates. The establishment and media just don't want this message to catch fire.

Exactly, does he not know now how much love we have for his steadfastness for the Constitution, Liberty and his reaching out to us? Surely the size of the crowds and cheers as well as his delegate support has shown him that all of his work has _not_ been for naught.

Best scenario now is to have Johnson pick Ron Paul as his VP. That would give Johnson enouhj of a boost to get that 15% to get into debates and Ron Paul into yhe VP debate.

This would have to be a joint collaboration... Involving the Green, Constitution, Independent, and Libertarian parties combined for starters. We all witnessed the criminality of the duopoly... you cannot run in one individual party... it has to be the "United Party" with a joint approval from all walks; Ralph Nader, Goode, GJ, Cynthia McKinney, Jill Stein. Ron was dead on correct united the suppressed parties to come together on 4 major issues. A massive endorsement by all those factions together go very far... independent, they go nowhere.

You got to get that $1 Trillion that go overseas each year and the coinciding Foreign policies that paradoxically take away all our rights and freedoms domestically... The top 2

I don't think he can do this. The LP held a convention and picked their VP. GJ cn step down and that might blow his VP off the ticket, but it also might blow him off the ticket and leave his VP intact.

Don't know...

I'm pretty sure he can't just kick his VP at this point.

What would be the four issues? Off the top of my head I'd say: Audit/End the Fed, Drug War, Empire and one other one I can't think of. Maybe the TSA.

According to the bylaws, if Johnson stepped down, his VP would get his place, and then the national committee would pick a new VP.

Ron isn't going to run Indy or any other party. It's too late.

However, he did say several times that while he did not want to run third party, an event like runaway inflation or some financial collapse in which people called him to run would be considered. No event has occurred.

But just think how pretty we would be sitting if Ron did what I suggested all along. Ron would be around the 20% poll mark, $40 million sitting in the bank plus addition of matching funds, the only real limited govt candidate running, building a new party for the people, donations would roll in because 20% national is a lot more money than 3% running as a Rep - Reps are 30% of voters, Ron received 10% of vote. We would have by passed all the cheating, stealing, etc that has occurred with the GOP. We WOULD have taken over the Indy party which is not possible with the established GOP. We would be shocking the system rallying Reps, Dems, Indies, and new voters behind our movement.

Yes, it would be awesome.

I doubt it. I'll support whatever Ron does. If he isn't going to run then hopefully he endorses Johnson.
