Something big is about to happen...

I recently made another investment in house payment, power, water and sad as it is to admit, cable television.
In defense of the catv investment, it is tied to my internet and I don't have many options.
Something bad could be coming if I miss a house payment.
Edit: left out food, gotta have that.

I killed all cable, even basic cable, and kept internet. cut the bill in HALF.

I wish I could do that man.
This crazy cable company I have calls 2 through 70, basic cable and then puts it's internet forward frequency in the 40's somewhere about. No alternative for me at this time so I'm just gonna have to soak it up until the day I tell you all good bye cause I can't afford it anymore.
That may not be far away the way things are looking.

Something big is going to happen. The markets will go up a lot and this "recovery" will continue until after the elections.

Hey Dieseler if worse comes to worse does your city have wifi in the downtown.

Kinda pisses me off but our town just got wifi at taxpayers dollars downtown. Nobody lives there of course but the businesses get a break.

I knew a kid that was doing the minimalist thing up in Charlottesville, VA. They had the downtown wifi. He had a table for his laptop set up on the handle bars of his bike and a kick stand that would hold the back wheel off the ground and charge the battery. Free power. Free internet.

If worse comes to worse.;)

Haha, that's awesome.
I do need to start researching some sort of solution maybe even dumping T Mobile which I've been contract free with for the last two years for a company I could at least get out here with.
Anything for back up would be cool, I'll start checking into it.
I swear I'd be jonesin' hard without the net and this place, might even go postal or somethin' lol.
:D

LOL. if I didn't have an internet to know there were other liberty lovers I would be going "post-hole" too. As in a big concertina fence!:D

I predicted it back in October. Please read the entire thread.

You predicted a deflationary collapse that would devastate the price of gold. The likelihood of that happening is near zero. There may be deflation in terms of real money (gold), but at no point will there be significant deflation in terms of dollars.

Of course, I would welcome deflation in terms of dollars, because my company is doing extremely well, and is geared to do well in a depression, and as such, my salary is assured, meaning that my purchasing power will only go up in such a circumstance. I doubt it is going to happen, and I'm not going to bet the farm on it, as you would have had people do.

Ok, you make valid points...but why is China contracting its credit when it is pegged to our dollar?

stuff

I don't know everyday its like watching a train wreck.. I don't want to watch but I can't bear to ignore it.

I think we have to really consider where the bubbles are right now.. And that's pretty much everything. I personally think the Dow should not be much more than 8,000...Oil should not be much more than $60.00, commodities are overpriced, I think Gold is about where it should be... Almost all the non treasury investments jumped 30+ in the last year to 15 months.. I think the Home sale numbers are not correct.. Home sales are up, but homes that are sold for $500 at an auction still count as "a sale".

I think unemployment numbers might eventually cause a crash someday.. But everybody is psychologically thinking 10% is where we will peak. We are there now. Anything more will cause a crash, and I think everyone has the mindset we will see some recovery this month.. Those numbers won't be out until early February. No recovery in January might cause a crash.

Unless we see a major company fall the next few weeks, I doubt anything big will happen until early February. I DO believe a correction will happen. The Dow is overpriced and way into the danger category.
