Some proof Ron Paul didn't write those letters.

Wow, he can't remember once claiming to have bought a GQ magazine over 17 years ago to launch into some liberal tirade in his newsletter? Well color me convinced

He also claims he can't remember who worked on his newsletter that got published for a rather lengthy period of time. Maybe he's losing his memory or pulling a Nixon?

Seems like some substantial information to go on, unless it's complete falsified

Go back to whatever god awful neo-con rat hole you emerged from.

Well, YOU might be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and YOU might believe that he is a man of his word, but MOST of the American public DOES NOT know this. He is barely known by most Americans.

So, THIS is a major issue and it will not go away. I think it will bring the campaign down. Quickly. I am very saddened about it. I convinced all of my family and most of my friends to vote for Ron Paul, and many times I said "he has no skeletons in his closet".

I am truly embarrassed about this.

Whether he wrote that stuff or not, he PUBLISHED it under HIS NAME.

The only way to make this issue go away is to get involved on the local level. Education.

It's really obvious that whoever wrote it is a friend of Ron Paul and while Ron Paul also obviously doesn't agree or even approve of the sentiment (just as he doesn't agree with Buchanan on protectionism), he doesn't want to out one of his friends as a racist. Give it up.
That's what I thought before the CNN interview. I think RP said he didn't know who wrote the letters, and I don't think I've heard him lie before. Unless he knows a few people who were writing them, and he doesn't know who wrote what.

From what I've read of the newsletters so far, I don't necessarily disagree with the statements. I mean, african americans ARE generally more athletic than anglo folks. How is that insulting? Why do you think the NBA is 90% african american? Why are most 100m sprinters of african descent? And why is it not plausible that riots would stop on welfare check day? I've read somewhere that afrcian-americans are more likely to be on welfare. Probably because the law is so unfair to them. I'm not saying that Ron Paul wrote it, I'm just saying its not racism, because true racism is collectivism based purely on superficial characteristics.

Are you trying to imply what you just stated was not a collectivist statement?

I'm saying collectivism/racism are condemned, so their definition should not include objective statistical information. Facts are facts. There ARE genetic differences between the races. But the individual itself is 1000x more important. I've always thought peoples behavior is much more dependent on their environment than their genetics.

Good point!

It may well have been but as long as we as a country pretend that collectivism is good for "people of color" but not for white Americans the whole point is moot.

.
Jean McIver is a staff member of Ron's campaign right now. Maybe someone should go talk to that person, maybe they're having less Nixon moments.

Um yeah. I don't think the person that handles subscriptions has anything to do with the content.

Ron Paul plans to pardon ALL non-violent drug use convictions!

not just minorities.

I wonder if he'll do the same for tax evasion?
