So basically you need to a hardcore libertarian to hang out around here? [admin: no]

Perhaps the group you've described are the most vocal, but we really do share a common goal. Read areas of the site other than the grassroots section and you'll get a true feel for the diversity that is represented here, and our common goals despite affiliation.

What was the last overall federal government net SHRINK, implemented by the conservatives? When all is said and done, a whole lot more is SAID than done. :p

Ok fair enough, I think my question is answered. This is the right place to be and the majority represents common sense types interested in limited govt. I think its a fair assessment that every shindig has it set of wingnuts for everybody to roll their eyes at.

I appreciate the responses, well, most of them anyway.

we took catchup away from kids at school (or treated it as a vegetable or something). This heartless action set back the movement 50 years. ;)

ok, in all seriousness, Clarence Thomas is a net gain.

Yep, that's just what I thought. Pathetic. :p

Thanks! :)

conservatism is clearly on the ropes.

You think it's bad now, wait to see what happens the more and more people of my mindset are removed from power.

I might be a statist to you, but I'm a kooky libertarian to most of the country.

If you vote you're a statist and thus only another part of the problem.<IMHO> :p

Why are you here? I know it isn't to support what Ron Paul believes in... Ron Paul, by your definition is a STATIST and part of the problem.
So really, why are you here?

Welcome and I say yes to states rights. The bigger the problem the more local the solution should be. Yes to county, city, and township rights. Yes, to village rights, too. :)

No to big government rights.

TW, I think you should start using size 7 font - bold, red, and underlined

Oh my gosh! That article revealed a truly unbelievable intolerance for dissent at UNM. :(

How do you square your advocacy for world government with your belief in limiting government authority? I truly do not understand.

Think about an anarchist wing of the libertarian party that doesn't believe in "state/country borders".
They aren't wanting one world government per se. But they do want one world.
More of a dream. Anarchy is as practical as communism, and just as idealistic.
