Snoop Dogg's Facebook!! 13.9 Million Followers!!

Fans of Snoop are probably fans of Wiz, Drake and Mac Miller and a bunch of others. So I really doubt this one endrosement is going to make a huge difference. Especially in the GOP.

No idea who those people are, however I can tell you one thing. You guys remember Mike Doherty? The State Senator from New Jersey that endorsed Ron Paul. Well I can tell you for a fact the district he represents is one of the conservative strongholds in New Jersey and I can tell you for a fact that in one of the most conservative towns in the district he represents in the early 90s the kids in school (Jocks, Preps, Nerds, Dead-heads, Goths, Sluts, Poor Kids, etc.) they all listened to Easy-E, Dre and Snoop. To say those kids haven't grown up and vote in elections now would be a mistaken assumption. Sure Snoop may not win them over to vote for Dr. Paul necessarily, but it sure doesn't hurt.

I think a Snoop dog endorsement is cool, someone should do an let ability ad, with Snoop, Oliver stone, Kelly Clarkson and others and say who else could have brought all these people together.

I think Cheapseats provides some really good commentary.

some folks on this forum have a tendency to get stuck in a RPF bubble and lose grasp of reality. Cheapseats does a good job of bringing them back.

Are you kidding me? There are few members of this forum more delusional, lost in mysticism, and heavy-worded than cheapseats. He's like those single-cause GOP commentators you find at the end of any article about President Obama, but he's the anti-abortion guy, the religious fanatic guy, and the "Obama's a secret Muslim from Africa" guy, all rolled into one horrible, disfigured slimeball of a person. His fanatical rhetoric is disturbing and his verbiage is lazy - his ideas demonstrate a mark of complete and utter intellectual incompetence.

He supports anti-trust laws and harbors completely unreasonable negative attitudes towards the wealthy. During Peter Schiff's campaign, he made every attempt possible to derail the conversation and to turn it against Schiff and those who supported him. He's a bad forum member, constantly up to no good, and has a despicable demeanor to back it all up.

Nice idea :)

So far we have Vince Vaugn, Prodigy from Mobb Deep, John Mayer, Cleveland Brown running back (don't know his name), Chris Lytle (one of the biggest names in the UFC), Joe Rogan/Eddie Bravo, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, Kelly Clarkson, Barry Manilow, Stephen Colbert (endorsed and gave the Colbert Bump on MSNBC Morning Joe), David Lettman.... Check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMajJRTZI1Y

This is amazing press! You guys have to realize that Snoop isn't just for "young people". He's around what, 41 or 42 now? Lots of people my age (40) were in college when he was huge, and are fans. It's truly amazing what this kind of endorsement can do, you think about the drug legalization issue, and the race issue, I see this as another step towards that tipping point being reached. :)

there's no such thing as bad press

Yes there is. Just look at the hit Paul took in Iowa when they went on the attack the last 2 weeks before the primary. Not a single good thing was said and he finished much lower than he should have.

Newt has Chuck Norris.

Do you realize that saying positive things does not equate to an endorsement?

Chuck Norris endorsed Newt before the SC primary:

A lot of those didn't really endorse but just said some nice things. Chuck Norris endorsed Newt, Barry Manilow said he's still for Obama, I think Eastwood said he liked Cain last I heard...

This is one more step towards becoming culturally accepted as a movement. To all the 07-08 veterans, remember when Ron Paul & this movement were "fringe" & "outside the mainstream"? Not anymore. :) If anybody doesn't think having celebrity endorsements raises the "cool" factor thereby making it more socially acceptable to support a candidate then you weren't paying attention to the Obama campaign 4 years ago.

Obama loses without Oprah.

I'm not a pot smoker nor do I want to glorify it, but I envision Snoop and his friends standing around the studio or his mansion blazing away while talking about Obama vs. Paul. I see Snoop exclaiming "Ron Paul is a muthafu**in BOSS!"

Ya'll that think a Snoop Dog endorsement is not a good thing are straight up crazy. This guy has become a major icon in the music industry as well as in mainstream society. I really can't figure out why we don't push the legalization thing a little more forcefully. I'm still waiting to get my hands on some Ron Paul rolling papers.

Sadly, ending the war on drugs is no where to be found on RP's official campaign website. I have no idea why they would want to hide something so crucial to the betterment of our country.
