I agree with the "confused", not necessarily "dumb", just uninformed.

Obama has something that Ron Paul doesnt, and that is CHARISMA.

I know you and i think ron has it, but the reality is he comes off as ecentric old man who slumps over to take a nap when it isn't his turn to talk for 20 seconds.

Obama comes off like a slightly less poised John F. Kennedy.
He has CHARM, and he INSPIRES HOPE.

Beyond that, his platform sucks donkey, and he is hopelessly clueless about the country. But most young people are clueless about their country as well, and therefore they will gravitate to the one candidate who reaches out to their disenfranchisement ... and that is Obama ...

sadly, he does NOT have the platform that accurately backs the rhetoric he talks.
I believe that HE believes he has the right policies, but that is pure naievete talking.

Unfortuantely, a naive country will tend to elect a naive man, so long as that man speaks with character and charm.

If bush can be elected president, so can Ron.. bush has the charisma of the back of a horse

What has surprised me though these past couple of days are the Obama supporters ive come across who are angry that Ron Paul didnt win Iowa and that FOX wants to keep him out of the debate.

You are correct that the lack of understanding in monetary policy etc is what makes alot of them choose Obama over Paul . But I wouldn't cast all Obama supporters as "dumb" lol ..they're alot brighter than the neocon supporters

THere is also the "hip" factor and , sorry to say, the fact he could be the 1st black president which blinds people into supporting him

Reminds me of something that happened at the computer lab a few weeks ago.

I was sitting at a computer reading the forum when some guy sat down next to me and started typing on an Obama messageboard. He looked over at my screen, rolled his eyes and kept making these really annoying little smirks at me. So, I opened up MS Word, set the font to 20 and typed OBAMA VOTED TO RE-AUTHORIZE THE PATRIOT ACT. He quickly got up and left.

Communicating is the key in this nation. Obama can communicate. Ron Paul comes off as being an angry old humorless grinch. I'm sorry but that's the truth. Ron Paul needs to change his marketing fast. He doesn't have much time .. otherwise it will be a Huckabee/Obama stand-off in the end.

Ron tore everyone up, huckaschmuck is a robot zombie who tries to hypnotize your wife and sisters with his lazers of telepathy.....obama is charasmatic as he'll but ron said it best when he said that they both have the young folks for them but the difference is the monetary policy. I may be a new member, but I am very active in this revolt, calling hundreds of angry americans for my meetup group, canvassing door to door, and standing in the rain with waterproof flyers....YOU don't believe do you?????? Do you love this man?

I disagree. I know many very intelligent Democrats, especially among Obama supporters. And I have always been a Republican or a Libertarian and have no reason to stick up for them.

Different people think different ways and I think want the same things but are misguided. I think often the misguided people are a lot less dangerous than others.

I would also say, just in my personal experience of association, dating, and marriage- that a lot of very intelligent females especially go for that side.

Confused, misguided, uneducated, soft hearts with soft minds, however you want to describe them one thing is clear, they are not revolutionaries, and this is a time when we need a whole generation to be revolutionaries.

Obama is a JFK. But we need a Jefferson. I just wish the young people weren't so wide-eyed about a packaged candidate.
