Smart Young People = Ron Paul | Dumb Young People = Obama

I am amazed at my own circle of friends that are not into the election at all. What confounds me is they have no idea how important this election is. If we continue with our foreign policy, the 14-18 yo may be looking at a draft. Am I mistaken? I haven't seen that opinion on the forum, as a parent of a 14 yo, it's something I think about. How many more foreign entanglements can we get into without it?

I wouldn't say dumb...just misguided. The media has done such a good job of flattening and simplifying the debate to purely one-axis; left vs. right. People get so caught up in that flawed dialectic that they don't realize that there are anti-war conservatives and pro-war liberals. Obama is cashing in on the anti-war angst, cunningly funneled into just one party by the media mind-engineers who know full well the deception they're selling.

That's the impression I get. Just gotta wake them up on monetary policy.

Obama is surviving (and winning) because you hear what you want from him, and you believe it. He's inspirational, and so dumb young voters who usually don't vote jaws drop and turn out to vote. I hope his streak ends in New Hampshire so that we can (hopefully) face Clinton, who's either loved or hated (48% loved, 50% hated) and we can take those 50%, plus .5%, we win (unless somebody on our side runs as spoiler, that's what the Clintons thrive on).
