I should point out....all of the above examples are pro-Trump threads...meaning, they started out as pro-Trump threads, with mostly pro-Trump topic titles. This isn't even counting pro-Trump comments within threads that might have had a topic title devoted to a certain political issue, or that might have had a topic title featuring Rand's name instead. And so far, I've only gone through August. I'm stopping. I think the point has been made.

I scanned through most of those you posted. On each of those the OP posted a title, link and description from leading MSM sources on the topic of the front-runner in the 2016 Candidates forum.

Again it is the 2016 Candidates forum which Trump is a candidate. The information is relevant to strategy. If Bryan and the mods did not want other candidates discussed then they should not have had a 2016 Candidates forum listing the candidates to be discussed.

The only legitimate beef you have is the few threads created recently that actively promote him. Over the last 9 months there were no such threads but rather the ones I described as well as ones posting outright lies on other candidates which many of us took issue with. Since if you are going to attack another candidate it should be done legitimately since we lose all credibility when we are making stuff up here.

What strategy? How we can use Trump to our advantage? How we can influence him?

Give me a break. Trump has always been, and always will be, influenced by money and power. The liberty movement doesn't have much of either. So what exactly is he going to do for the liberty movement? What exactly is he going to do for reducing government regulation? What exactly is he going to do for individual liberty?

Awaiting your answers and links to committed principle with bated breath.
 
I simply cannot buy into the theory that he is "establishment", just by virtue of how the establishment is treating him. I can't wrap my brain around it, and no one here has been able to explain it in a way that makes any sense to me...

Nevertheless, until the day comes when I understand why this is happening (establishment trying to bring him down) I am no longer going to post in the Trump threads... So that's one less dissenting opinion to deal with. :rolleyes:

I still do not agree with what some of you are doing. This is not how I remember RPF back in the beginning, and that's a shame.

I suggest that people take it easy on the Trump supporters, because the tactics being used will not change their minds. Only valid arguments can do that - Not saying the anti -Trumpers haven't presented valid arguments, you have indeed -- It's just that the insults, intimidation, etc.. are counter-productive, and I admit, I myself have gotten caught up with the insults and other childish crap happening in here. And that's how I know it's time for me to step away from these threads.

we need some mechanism preventing him from dominating liberty forest's news cycle
I'd like to suggest all future Trump threads got merged into a single long thread "Trump 2016 News"
then let them discuss and bump all they want without stifling conversation, hell let them promote there
and at most trump is one line item in "New Posts"

Probably best. Valid arguments were made. In fact a thread dedicated to Trumps evaluation WRT the sites goals showed that Trump is not in alignment. Peace, good riddance, and have fun storming the castle.

That's because your establishment/anti-establishment paradigm is faulty.

There is no "The Establishment."

There is a constellation of special interests advocating statism in various forms, who often fight amongst themselves.
 
It's gone beyond the point of trying to change their minds. It crossed that line about 6 months ago.
