Since When Did The Media Care So Much About A Blimp?

I think there are more media people then we think that privately agree with Dr. Paul but have been remaining silent and also others that are learning and understanding what he is really talking about beyond the sound bites.

Since this grassroots community is so big and getting bigger media people are understanding that they better research this guy more closely or risk getting caught looking and being uninformed and outdated. So finally these people are going beyond the sound bites and perhaps looking at Dr. Paul in a different light. I don't expect many to jump out of the closet at first, but I think we might see some major media editors and middle management begin to allow different types of stories to flow out. I hope I am right and if I am, we could see a snowball effect in the media over the coming months.

Another thing is that they KNOW that there is no way that Hillary or Rudy or any of the others have supporters who could EVER pull this off on their own. This grassroots just is a juggernaut that is running off all by itself. Thats the REAL story.

Even the socialists at BBC news will have to cover this, and they'll probably do a positive story on it too.

It's all grassroots! Judging by the youtube vids this has really sparked a lot of media interest so far.

I hope that there will be lots of rides given to the media types. I know it hurts after how they have denigrated RP's bid but I think some freebies will likely generate some in-depth stories. Or get Jack Cafferty on it?

Surely this has got to be the sort of thing some celebrities would like to have a ride on too? Especially if we can continue to get Ron's anti-war record out there.

It would be nice too to see some rides given away. I bet there are a lot of children who would love to have such an experience. Going by my estimation of Ron's supporters and their compassionate nature I bet a lot of people here would be happy for some blimp-ride time to go towards giving a child who is ill this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Just an idea.

Completely baffles me, well done guys.

Watch out for all this legal talk though.

Hitting no fly zones would be helpful, because it emphasis the problem of where the country is headed. Nothing is more American than flying a blimp over, for instance, a football field :)

Let Freedom Fly!

Agreed. The blimp is secondary to the grassroots organization and the giant "fuck you" to the FEC and McCain/Feingold that it represents.

This is also a variable. We have a former FEC chairman in one corner, and if the law were used against an opponent of McCain in a presidential election, that also says something.

I think we hold all the good cards here, plus.. ITS A BLIMP!! :)

There interest is because they are scared *&^%less and now they hope they can attack it legally.

None of the other faux candidates really have any true support, so they can't pull it off. The other candidates are just mirages and so is their true support. They are just figments of the MSM's imagination.

I think there's a little bit of jealousy too. This country has been decending into tyranny for quite a while now. So much so that many people don't seem to remember what liberty and freedom really mean. So when they see us working together to make something big happen some try to attack it. They did the same with Nov. 5th and I'm sure they'll find something wrong with the Tea Party too. It really doesn't matter, we still keep growing anyway.

It would be like trying to poison a plant and getting frustrated because the more poison you dump on it, the more it flourishes. There has to be a point where you give up and just stare at it in utter fascination. I think they are getting curious about us and this freedom thing we have.

I was pretty negative before, but the way CNN was talking about the grassroots making things happen unlike anyone else....pretty cool.

Just wait, and I mean WAIT, until the blimp starts getting the Make-A-Wish kids aboard. Here come Oprah and Ellen! :D

If they did get rides, they're not products or endorsements. They're innocent kids getting blimp rides, and definitely not a presidential candidate's tools. If they DO get blimp rides, that fact better be clear . . .

I'm thinking it's because they finally have proof Ron Paul has more support than the MSM wanted anybody to know, so now they just may start pushing Ron Paul more after, their savior Huckabee turns into a flop. This may just be the fuel the campaign needs to make good use of the money the grassroots have donated to them. Start airing commercials in all the early primary states. States though that we really need to win after the early primaries would be Texas and California, they have a lot of delegates for the national convention. So hopefully the first blimp is a success so they can get a west coast blimp launched also.

How about Dr. Paul grants Glen Beck his 2 hour live interview on the condition it's done on the blimp over the tea party :)
