Should I vote for Ron Paul or Obama in PA?

Ok think of it like this. You are the only person in the whole world that gets to decide between Clinton and Obama. I mean it - you are the only one out of 6 billion people. And the choice is yours.

Do you:

A) Select Obama
B) Select Clinton
C) Refuse to choose because you want to make a statement. You say "let somebody else decide I like Ron Paul and he's not one of the choices

Because as Florida in 2000 taught us (and Ohio in 2004) one vote can really matter.

And before any more of you tell me to go fuck myself or that I'm an obama troll. Get real - I've worked my ass off to see Ron Paul become president. It just ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN and I have a very real situation coming up here in April!

My girlfriend is from IRAN and her family all live in Tehran. She has stood by me all along hoping so much that Ron Paul would become president so that her family does not die. Now given the reality of the situation she asks me every morning - is Clinton going to president? Is she going to bomb my family? Would obama bomb my family too? She KNOWS McCain would.

So consider the REAL WORLD SITUATION and honestly tell me what one should do.

I'm bringing this to you all because I've gotten to know many of you this past year and I RESPECT YOUR OPINION.

Vote for what's in your heart. Vote for principle. Forget about what the end result of the 2008 election is going to be. The Revolution needs people who are going to follow their conscience no matter how impractical or inconsequential it seems.

We need to raise the numbers of those who are telling the world, "We're mad as hell and we're not taking it anymore!" A lesser of evils is unacceptable. The more votes we get the more it will encourage voters in the future that there are legitimate choices. McCain, Clinton and Obama are NOT legitimate choices. We need to send that message.

Ron Paul was often the lone voice of dissent in Congress and now his colleagues are starting to take notice that there is support for liberty and constitutional government. I would wager that many of these congressmen wished they could have voted with Ron Paul, but they kept thinking it wasn't practical or consequential. We have to turn that around.

This is not the time to give up. This is the time to dig in. Your vote means something. Don't vote for despair, vote for hope. We need to keep the light on and voting for Obama won't help. If you want to vote for Nader, vote for Nader. Write in Ron Paul or vote for a third party candidate you agree with. Whatever you do, don't give the powers that be the satisfaction of your vote. It's too precious.

Awesome point - and one that almost has me completely convinced. Thank you!

Very well said.

I'll be voting for Ron Paul in PA, I hope you will be too. It's time to take a stand.

And, a reminder to PA people: double check your registration as a Republican in PA. They've screwed mine up before.

P.S. I just talked to someone at the voter registration office and the last day to change your political affiliation is March 24th. So get on it if you haven't already!

I am looking for advice on what I should do in the next few weeks. You can change your party affiliation in Pennsylvania still and our primary is in late April.

Everybody is saying that PA will be THE state choosing between Obama and Clinton. That's a huge responsibility. I don't trust Obama but he does SAY he will end the war. I want the war to end more than anything else - even more than all of the other things that Ron Paul stands for.

I know some here still think Ron Paul can become president - and I don't want to focus on that in this thread. Let's agree to disagree. I don't think the movement is over but I think the presidential campaign is.

With that said - I would throw up if Clinton becomes president. I know she is pure evil. Obama might be pure evil too. For example I know he:

- voted to reauthorize the patriot act

- won't take nuking Iran off the table

- said stuff about keeping the troops in Iraq for a few more years

- is a member of CFR

- is a tool of one of the major parties

(am I answering my own question here?)

but there is a part of me that wonders - even though he will tax and spend us into the ground (just like McCain and Clinton I might add) he has good intentions. Clearly he is the least of the three evils. And I even get the feeling Ron Paul likes him (though he rightly seems to believe he is misguided)

Voting for Ron Paul in PA would only help get him delegates at the convention. It won't make him president. But my vote COULD make Obama president. So please tell me - how best can I use my vote in this situation? I want to do what is best for my country and I'm not afraid to use the system against the system (that is change parties at the last possible moment to vote one for a candidate I don't like in order to prevent another candidate I dislike even more from winning.)

Do you really believe that Obama will do anything to end war?

Your vote is not going to decide the election...wake up

Do the right thing and give Ron Paul your vote.

Imagine if in the future you get to meet RP...wouldn't you want to tell him..."I voted for you"

What will Obama supporters do if/when McCain wins and they realize that it was all staged anyway. Will they join the revolution?

Funny, they screwed mine up too... I went down to the court house and made sure they did it right.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Ron Paul. He is a hero to me. Thank you to all of you who are contacting me here or in private messages.

I knew a lot of the bad stuff about Obama but you are all pointing out a lot more of the dirt that I hadn't come across yet.

I was never saying I like Obama more than Ron Paul. I'm also not afraid to vote third party or to vote for somebody really low in the polls (if you knew my voting history you'd know that).

What I am saying is I'm a little reluctant to vote in an election that has been decided - that is OVER - when I can make a (however small) difference in the other election that has NOT been decided.

Does anybody here see the logic in that? Just a little?

are you kidding me? Obama, Clinton, and McCain are all the same. And it doesnt matter who you vote for, its already been decided, Clinton WILL BE the next POTUS.

I've been saying this for quite awhile. She is the chosen one.

If the Rothschilds are behind you, you can't lose. (Except your soul of course.)

"First of all, Hillary will be good for America. And so if we care about our country —which all of my fellow capitalists do —we'll be very pleased that she's president." -- Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Portfolio magazine, October 5, 2007

I'm in PA and voting for Ron Paul on April 22nd. I don't know how you can come this far and not vote for the candidate you truly believe in. Our meet-up is not giving up either. We have Ron Paul delegates on the ballot(provided there are no successful challenges), and we are going full steam ahead on campaigning for Dr. Paul as well as delegate candidates. Remember, PA delegates are not bound to the popular vote. The better we do in PA the more credibility we will have for the true mission we are embarked upon.

Not to mention Ron Paul has the first position on the ballot.

Vote for Ron Paul!

As a fellow Pennsylvanian my advice is to vote for Ron Paul. Clinton's lead is already slipping, once Obama shows up in PA and does rallies in Philly and Pitt (the 2 big Dem areas) I bet he overtakes her with ease. (I hope so anyway but I am more worried about her super delegates than I am the popular vote.)

obama = most liberal senator
paul = most conservative rep

uhhh, why even consider obama?
dont say he will end the war; he will not AND might start one with Iran

Vote for the person you would want to be president, not the least of evils.
