The shocking part is that the Senate has actually done something useful not the part about cell phones causing tumors because the tin foil hat crowd already knew that for many years.

Shocking U.S. Senate Hearing Confirms Dangers of Cell Phones

http://emf.mercola.com/sites/emf/ar...ommittee-Confirms-Dangers-of-Cell-Phones.aspx

Witnesses before a Senate Committee testified about research into cell phone use and its potential impact on human health, as well as the potential side effects such as brain and salivary gland tumors.

In 2008, cell phones were identified as a contributor to salivary gland tumors. Dr. Siegal Sadetzki, who testified in September 2009 at the U.S. Senate Hearing, is the principle investigator of the study that made this finding.

The report states that your risk of getting a parotid tumor on the same side of your head that you use for listening to the mobile phone increases by:

34 percent if you are a regular cell phone user and have used a mobile phone for 5 years.
58 percent if you had more than about 5,500 calls in your lifetime.
49 percent if you have spoken on the phone for more than 266.3 hours during your lifetime.

.........rest at link.

just use your phone on speaker-phone mode and you are fine.
it won't be near your head.

Sounds like a simple solution but tell that to all the people and children who have developed/died of tumors already because the truth was suppressed for so long. I don't own a tumorphone myself because of my backdoor research into the subject long ago. Just another weapon to soft kill the population.

Farther down in the article:

The second video above by Electromagnetichealth.org, filmed at Columbia University Law School at a presentation on Wireless Hazards, explains how wireless radiation creates cognitive problems, damages DNA, diminishes fertility, causes disorientation and navigation difficulties for birds, bees and other wildlife, and may contribute to Bee Colony Collapse, which, if not reversed, will jeopardize the future of life on earth.

I have not had a cell phone for over a year I was getting head aches when I gave it up. I don't have them any more. I know my electric current is running better since I gave it up.

I do have one to take with me in the car just for emergency.

I work for a large law firm. (We have offices in several states). Our dept very rarely gets memos from the head boss, but one of them warned us to be careful when using cell phones and that we shouldn't point them at people while in use, because of the health risks involved.

uh oh! I've been carrying one around in my pants pocket for years!!

I've only been using a mobile sparingly because of this factor. But to be fair to regular cell users, wireless signals (from towers, and use of wifi PCs) are probably adversely impacting people whether or not they hold a phone to their heads. Also, I'd like to see the "per thousand people" breakdown of the cancer risk. Out of every thousand people who use cell phones regularly, how many actually come down with brain tumors?

For example, despite all the noise we hear about hypertension, the research says that per 1000 people with high blood pressure, only 15 end up with cardiac problems (or 1.5% risk). Medication reduces the risk of heart disease to 10 per 1000 hypertension cases, or 1%. If the serious health risk is only 1-1.5%, are we simply deeply overstating the issue, either for high blood pressure, or for cell phone use?

Pot Shrinks Tumors; Government Knew in '74

In 1974 researchers learned that THC, the active chemical in marijuana, shrank or destroyed brain tumors in test mice. But the DEA quickly shut down the study and destroyed its results, which were never replicated -- until now.

The term medical marijuana took on dramatic new meaning in February, 2000 when researchers in Madrid announced they had destroyed incurable brain tumors in rats by injecting them with THC, the active ingredient in cannabis.
