Nevermind the fact that a law enforcement department has declared that there is PROBABLE CAUSE in this case and that they have already identified a person of interest.

Yes, that is my take. Who cares about the birth certificate? That's just frantically trying to stage a mutiny on the Titanic. It's not gonna change a thing. Arpaio is nothing but an authoritarian thug with a past full of skidmarks and pink underwear. I'm sure "Sheriff Joe" would just love to force his tough justice on America to get 'er back in line. 1) So we know the certificate is fake now? According to who? Arpaio? The same guy running for re-election right now?

The docs are fake and I said so. I have been doing digital imaging for years (since 1992 daily). A scan is a photo of a document. It it NEVER in layers. The green background is a tiled pattern. There is more than one type of font in use and they are not lined up. The typewriter font was lifted from another doc as the white halo from an antialiased selection is still quite visible. The stamps should be embedded in the paper and not be able to be lifted and moved anywhere. It was pure incompetence that the forger did not flatten the layers after he cobbled it together. The selective service card stamp has a two digit year on it and every legitimate one has a four digit year stamp on it. You cannot explain this away and ad hominem attacks on me or Joe ain't cutting the mustard and only point out your own lack of competency in judging the efficacy of the evidence as offered.

This is always what my thoughts revert to when I think of Arapaio. Other than that I'm not sure what my opinion of him is. He's sort of a useful idiot in that while he is a power hungry police thug he is still doing some positive things in terms of resisting federal authority.

Arpaio is fulfilling his oath as sheriff, but this insistence is running in direct opposition to the illegal drug trade as well as the illegal immigration lobby. So they cast him as a scape goat for protecting the 4 million citizens of Maricopa country who live in a malestrom of violence. I suppose the sensitive non-violent approach would be to do nothing and let the entire county be overwhelmed, but for obvious reasons the world doesn't operate in such a manner.

Why are you blaming Arpaio for the federal government's sins? Arpaio and the citizens of Arizona didn't start the war, which would separate them from the preemptive thought process of a Rick Santorum.
